I hate that comparison. Cheechoo had a double sports hernia surgery and a couple knee injuries that took what little speed he had and ended his career. Seto can skate and really has all skill to be successful in the NHL, he just cares more about guzzling vodka and chasing skanks.

Cheechoo screed his goals by out working opponents and getting to the tough areas on the ice. Seto floats around and waits to finish plays. If Seto had half the heart Cheechoo had, he'd still be a top line player and not begging for a contract.

The only thing they have in common is that they both played with Joe Thornton for a while.

Yeah see what you are saying but the comparison is the fact that they both had their careers due to Joe Thornton and really aren't valuable unless in that role. Trust me there are TON's of players that fit that role but Cheechoo and Setoguchi are lumped because of the team and who they played with.

And using your example of worth ethic and skill then the likes of Ovechkin/Crosby, Gretzky/Lemieux, etc comparisons....really have no validity.
