Generally speaking (not team specific):

Watkins (easily #1)

gap

Lee

smaller gap

Beckham Jr.
Benjamin

I'm in the process of getting to see more games of Cooks and talking to some other people closer to his situation than me, but he could enter into that picture after I get the chance to focus on him a bit more.

That is why when it comes to the draft and assessing / evaluating players, it's so easily for me to get along with this guru they call Pozz. We see eye to eye every year (with the exception of the RB position when our opinions start to show some differences). Thus far our WR rankings is almost identical:

I'm hoping Mike Evans might fall to a pick that the 9ers would trade up for or be available at(not likely). I feel he has great potential..his work at the combine gives me more confidence.

Really everyone seems to have Allen Robinson out of their top four. He's like a bigger Keenan Allen/Crabtree if you ask me. Also the popular Mike Evans to Vincent Jackson comparison doesn't look overblown.

He could be the next Vincent Jackson. Like Vincent had experience early on in his career, it will take him a year or two in the league before he reaches that #1 WR potential. I don't see him being a tremendous force straight out of the gate. I definitely think he has earned a 1st round grade, but like I said his rookie year may not be so promising in terms of production on the field.

I'll throw a brick through my living room window if the 49ers draft Robinson.

While I'm speaking 49ers specifically, I will say that there a few WRs this year that I worry about a little bit more with a QB like Kaepernick in the picture. I'm not saying I'm knocking them down when getting 49ers specific, but where Kaepernick is at right now, I'd worry about them fitting in well right off the bat if Kaepernick stays where he's at in his development.

Odell Beckham Jr. - WR - Tigers

LSU WR Odell Beckham Jr. ran two unofficial forty times of 4.31 and 4.40 seconds.

Beckham Jr. also posted a 10 yard split of 1.50 seconds. Rotoworld's Josh Norris listed the LSU receiver as the No. 19 overall player due to Beckham Jr.'s explosion and willingness to go up and get it at the catch point. He belongs in the first-round.

Mike Evans looking better and better. He is a smooth runner and he plucks the ball out of the air.

Now I was not a big fan of Beckham, thought he was too small. Same with Cooks.

Beckham has to be one of the better "catchers" i have seen in the gauntlet drill. The way he was snatching that ball was awesome. The ball was not even close to being dropped. He is a natural and actually catching the ball.

Cooks looked good catching the ball too, although both runs through the gauntlet he double caught a ball.

:agree:Not a starter but a prospect to work with. If the 9ers are looking to the future I feel that this kid might be a piece to the puzzle.

He's not going to be a top 10 pick. I'm not buying that:

Mike Evans - WR - Aggies

Texas A&M WR Mike Evans posted unofficial forty times of 4.47 and 4.50 seconds at the NFL Combine.

Evans also had two 10 yard splits of 1.57 and 1.59 seconds. These are obviously great times but not exactly a huge surprise, since Evans produced very good yards after catch numbers last season. He has a chance to be a top 10 pick.

I am getting closer and closer to thinking the 9ers need to do a ATL move and jump up and grab Evens at like 10 if he is there. The season after this having Evans and Patton would be a good starting duo. One Big fast and can get the jump ball and the other quick who can catch and make a big play after the catch. If they re-sign Crabtree then Evans and Crabtree at wideout and Patton in the slot would make the team set at WR for years.

Kelvin Benjamin - WR - Seminoles

Florida State WR Kelvin Benjamin ran two unofficial forty times of 4.53 and 4.59 seconds at the NFL Combine.

Benjamin had two 10 yard splits of 1.62 and 1.66 seconds. The massive 6'5/240 pound receiver is a specimen who flashes dominating at the catch point. However, Benjamin has lapses on easy catches and 50 percent of his catches were madee 11-plus yards down the field.

Brandin Cooks - WR - Beavers

Oregon State WR Brandin Cooks ran two unofficial forty times of 4.30 seconds at the NFL Combine.

Cooks also posted two 10 yard splits of 1.50 and 1.51 seconds. Cooks recently landed at No. 25 on Josh Norris overall rankings thanks to his explosion and ability to separate on the ground. he does not go up and get it like other receivers in this class, but he wins inside and out.

If 9ers trade up anywhere in the first round to target a receiver, it only better be for Watkins.

Watkins would be a good pick but I feel he will go near the top ten. I think Evans might be a better reach....not that the 9ers will ever pull the trigger and trade up anyway. Last season (on another board) I was hoping they would trade up for Cordy Patterson.

Lee ran an unoffical 4.55 Add the .5 for the timer being messed up and 4.6 is slow.

He plays faster though. He might fall.
