Now before you said that I was suspicious on why the decided to take it down. I never really had a motive on why but I'm not sure i'm willing to go that far (but I would sure love to)

Major ice storm took it out. Pines in general don't hold up well...I wouldn't be shocked to see another tree planted there next year.

Me too as of late.

Oh, about 10-15 minutes as the water was up and I had 10lb tippet. These things get exaggerated a lot. When someone tells you they took 45 minutes to get a fish in, they better be talking Marlin or bigger. My buddy happened to be videotaping...I haven't seen it in years...that pic was early 90s. I've caught thousands of salmon but that one was among the biggest ones I ever landed.

That's pretty cool. I went out on a fishing boat in Hawaii and hooked a black Marlin. It weighed a little over 300 lbs. I couldn't pull him in though. The boat's mate had to take over for me and he got him in.

Isn't that a little like using a six iron off the 18th tee?

Yes, but my arms felt like they were going to fall off, my back was killing me and I had to be rescued. I'm told that the Black Marlin is very rare in Hawaiian waters though.

Speak for yourself man...now granted, I'm not a fisherman...when I lived in Jersey a co-worker lived down on the shore...he owned a 40 footer...my 1st and only deep fishing...we went about 10 miles past LI to an area called little italy fishing for tuna...but we started with some small bait...after about 20 mins my line has something...I fought that damn thing and about 15 mins later I reel it in....maybe 18 inch Blue fish, pretty big I thought. Now,, understand, I didn't know it was a Blue fish.

I'm so proud of myself...John (boat owner) cuts the head off and throws into the cooler...he said, that's the bait to catch the Tuna man! I'm thinking I landed a Tuna!! lol. We didn't catch any Tuna after about an hour or so, so he said, must be shark in the area...soon we're chumming for shark...we did catch one of those...about 5 footer. Stopped on the way in to check on a shrimp trap he put out on the way out, and jackpot.

LOVE the Masters. Best tournament of the year.

Absolutely - some of the best drama in sports. The battle between Scott and Cabrera last year, the miracle shots by Bubba and Phil, Rory hitting up into the houses, Tiger's drama with his drop, etc, etc. All great moments & I am sure that we will see more this year. Till then - we will have to "settle" for your fish tales and other similar posts.

How many times did they replay Scott's " Come on Aussie" .... I don't know but it was not enough.

How about perhaps the two most famous chips in golf history.

I don't know why but one thing I always remembered was Jeff Maggert hitting himself with the ball after his bunker shot caught the lip and bounced back and nailed him in the chest. Instant 2 stroke penalty.

He was close to the lead too.

I had just started playing the year prior to Jack's triumphant win in '86. I had recorded the coverage on my VCR and went home to watch it. I've since transferred it to DVD. There are of course, recaps of the coverage but the original telecast is still cool to see. None of the announcers had a clue that Jack would LIGHT IT THE FUCK UP on the back nine!

...and Mize's pitch into the hole on 11 is still the greatest shot ever struck.
