We will be at the mercy of 32 picks in front of us. I like this list and need to wait till round 3 is over. Gaines is gone so no need to make wishes when the candles are gone.

The list is up to like 25 kids, so we should see at least a few of them make it through the round...

I'd like to see us target McGill and Reynolds, then Murray.

JMO, but 49er's killed this draft already with nemesis AZ and Stl right there also having very good drafts. Don't forget, Gandy, Niner's took Auburn DE/OLB Corey Lemonier also. Kid was rock solid edge rusher in college, better than Bruce Smith for the simple fact he could drop in coverage and better against the run. La Michael James also ?

Clowney is not 'Better than Bruce Smith' coming out of college. Don't get carried away.

I hate myself for saying we should target a WR at this point, but I think Martavis Bryant would be amazing to steal in the 4th round. We would have to move up. Solid receiver with good speed and size.

My top guys for our two 4th rounders are Webster, McGill, Bryant, Ellington, Smith, Savage and Mettenberger.

Gotta add Yankey and Couplin to this list, too.

Any of these players in the 4th would be great.

Yankey and Couplin project to be starters in a year or two, McGill is still a bit raw, but as a corner or safety he offers great size, Webster has great size/speed combo and could turn into a helluva DE, Ellington is small but very explosive, Bryant is tall and blazing fast (Randy Moss size and speed combo), Smith is a 'tweener but is just so talented at tackle football that he'd find a role on defense, and the two QBs are both great developmental values at that point, imo- both are big (6'5"+) and have rocket arms, so great back-ups for our big-armed starter.

I agree. Cant do anything more than next years 4th and that is pushing it. I don't think anyone takes next years 5th, but we could try.

Bryant could last through the round, but there's lots of good options left if he doesn't. Kevin Norwood is 6'2" and ran a sub 4.5 40 yard time. He was the best WR in a 'Bama attack that didn't pass a whole lot. Bruce Ellington is electric in the slot and could compete with Jeremy Ross in the Slot WR/Return Specialist role. Jeff Janis is starting to enter the discussion at the end of the 4th for sure, too. He's a smaller-school prospect (obviously) but has all the right measurables and is a local kid to boot.

Still would like DE or DT for depth reasons. I would like to address the 3rd WR. Almost feel many could be a upgrade over Durham and Ogletree. Bryant would fit.

I'm excited for our red-zone options this year.

A package of Megatron and Fauria split out wide gives us two jump-ball/fade nightmares for the D... put Ebron in the slot and the seam has to be accounted for as well. Have Pettrigrew in tight and Bush in the backfield and we've got four 6'4" or taller pass-catchers with Bush working underneath... Likethe sounds of that...

Jax has two 4th rd picks #105 and #114... Why not trade next years 4th rd and that 5th rd (acquired from the Seattle trade) to Jax for their #114... It works perfectly on the point value system

Last 5 years 4th rd picks
2013 traded to Min in 2012 for Tahir Whitehead (Devin taylor was a comp pick last year)
2012 DE Ronnell Lewis (enough said without saying anything)
2011 traded away for LeShoure
2010 OT Jason Fox (always injured)
2009 DT Sammie Lee Hill (great pick, went to Titans last year)

I am not so sure how valid the JJ point system is anymore now the rookie payscale is so structured.

I went through all of last years trades and all but two matched up within 20 pts. Detroits trade with Seattle for VanNoy was advantage Seattle by 12 points. Everyone keeps saying JJ's system is not in use and I proved it by going thru 8 1st and 2nd rd trades for 2013.

The only 2 that didn't match up were that crazy, stupid, trade Oakland did with Miami and Dallas' trade with SF (that one fell a 4th rd'er short, 70 points which is a lot). All the other trades matched up.

I'd swing that trade no questions asked. Lots of talent left right now.
