With 2 repaired knees the guy runs the 40 under 4.7 sec. He worked out for the Patriots without braces on either knee. Rumored that both knees are stronger after the surgeries than before.

By adding Easly, the Patriots now have 13 defensive linemen on their roster: Armstead, Buchannon, Bequette, Sigila, Vellano, Chris Jones, Chandler Jones, Wilfork, Kelley, Ninkovich, Will Smith, Forston. They usually keep 8 DL for the regular season.................

I would think Kelley goes. There's too much young talent and he would free up a mil or so extra space as a bonus.

As for the pick, it's not the first time bill has taken a guy with a rough injury past at a spot many thought was a reach. While there's certainly examples of picks that haven't worked, overall there's many who have as well. There aren't glaring needs and of the ones there are, DT was a big one. If bill thinks he was the best option there, I'll take it.

I liked trading out of the 3rd. It is the end of the 2nd day. you can take a pick but but trading down you get an early pick at the start of the day after evaluating carefully your remaining options.
