Josh Osich

Kid out of Oregon State :-)puke:). Was a starter his whole career until injuries forced him into the Pen since he's been with the Giants. Kid has nasty stuff though, and a hard fastball. Just another diamond in the rough.

I seem to remember another kid from OSU in the system...

:puke:

But it's all okay now, they wear the RIGHT shade of orange and black now. And your boy is swinging a good bat, almost a .900 OPS in AA. Very tough league to hit in too.

Yeah, and who would've called THAT?

Oh yeah, I did.

I remember them being very high on him as a #2 or 3 starter when he was drafted. I'm sorry to read about injuries pushing him to the pen, but he could just be Hembree's set-up man in a couple of years... or great deadline fodder.

A couple of guys having good early seasons:

Augusta: Jesus Galindo, Shayne Houck, Tyler Mizenko, Kendry Flores
San Jose: Ryan Cavan, Josh Osich, Hunter Strickland, Ty Blach, Chris Marlowe
Richmond: Adam Duvall, Mark Minicozzi, Jack Snodgrass, Daryl Maday

Justin Fitzgerald has been promoted to Fresno.

There is some lights out pitching in the lower minors. The Susser is hitting bombs and driving in runs, 254/374/475...

All is in order. Anybody know when Crick is going to pitch again?

He is still super-young, and we are super-stacked at that level. I would not be surprised if they go extra slow with his recovery, just so there are more innings for other guys.

Just looked it up. Oblique injury dating back to April 18. According to his twitter feed, he expects to be back soon.

I'm sure you're right and they are just going very slowly with him.

I'm so happy for the guy. What a far cry from rotting in some third-world prison.

Money talks. On the flip side of that very large coin, Milton Bradley might be sentenced to 7 years in prison fairly soon. When the fame and fortune run out, make sure you have a set of morals and values to rely upon.

Not like he wasn't acting the doosh while he was in the MLB, though.

Zebra hasn't changed his stripes, the viewers have simply removed the glasses.

Yeah, if MB was a stock I would have shorted him upon his being finished with baseball (or baseball being finished with him).

But you are dead-on about the morals and values. It's nice to have some absolutes in that area.

Exactly my point. Hopefully, Angel's stripes have changed from a guy that could be in whatever situation he was that night to someone that would stay home or out of the fray.

EDIT: Btw, I think Milton Bradley is a stock... unless they got bought by Parker Brothers. ;)

Get ready boys and tz...

The draft is tomorrow!!

One of my favorite days of the year. We pick 25. I expect us to got heavy on the pitching AGAIN. This year has taught us that we need a steady stream of pitchers coming up. So I would guess at least 3 pitchers in the first 5 rounds, but likely 4.

Nice :)

Also, the AZL starts up today. I am excited to see if Arroyo and Jones take the field this early or if they will stay in EST all year.

Just confirmed Arroyo will be there tomorrow, I'm sure Jones will too. Great to see our top picks ready to get out there so soon. Excited to see them play!
