Yea PC. He is making guys like Howard look old and done. I wish they would do something with Howard. He is approaching that zone where the money they are paying him is not being valued has he is doing little in the way of playing performance. I guess its the intangibles!

Speaking of Howard, here's a scary stat- Dom Brown is the first Phillies player to hit 10 HR's in a month since Howard hit 11 in August of 2009.

That is scary PC86. But again, it magnifies the issue of perhaps the Phillies need to ask Howard to either restructure his contract (I don't know if that is poosible in baseball) or cut him and his garganuan contract loose and put in a younger more productive player in the spot.

The Phils are over-burdened with big contracts right now. It some cases they are warranted like Doc, but in Howard's case, his best days appear to be behind him just like Victorino and Werth were, both who are either injured or are floating around the league as player trade fillers.

Utely and Rollins are still productive as is Kratz and Chooch, but Howard is simply becoming a dead weight on a number of levels. Time to go.

Here is an emerging pattern. We a win a game by two or three games, or we win two games in a row by the same margin and then we get a football score. It is almost like we play, collapse, and get our ass kicked and then comeback to do it again. This is weird!

Thanks Hammer Down for the info. D. Brown is having an outstanding year already and Durbin was meat on the way out anyway. They should include Howard with Durbin and save a boatlaod of cash!!
