Ugh:

The 49ers made a miscalculation with their decision to waive rookie cornerback Marcus Cooper. They wanted to bring him back to the practice squad. Instead, the Chiefs claimed Cooper off waivers.

Now, Cooper (6 foot 2) is the Chiefs’ No. 3 cornerback. On Sunday, he broke up two passes – a deep route intended for Rueben Randle and a short pass for Hakeem Nicks.

.... That pisses me off...

Just saw this as well on csnba. Baalke and company shot themselves in the foot with this and a few other moves.

Keenan Allen - WR - Chargers

Keenan Allen caught five passes for 80 yards in San Diego's Week 4 win over the Cowboys.

The five grabs more than doubled Allen's previous season total, as did the 80 yards. He got the better of Cowboys CB Morris Claiborne. The highlight of Allen's afternoon was a leaping 31-yard grab in the first quarter. A 4.65-type player, Allen is going to remain inconsistent as he fills in for Malcom Floyd on the outside, but he's worth a stash in Dynasty leagues.

Kenny Stills - WR - Saints

Kenny Stills caught four passes for 38 yards in Monday night's Week 4 win over Miami.

The rookie was targeted six times on the night. Stills' long gain went for 18 yards down the left sideline, but he mostly worked underneath. He saw an increased role with Lance Moore (wrist) inactive. After four weeks, Stills is on pace to post a 28-536-0 line. He's not on the re-draft league radar.

Lane Johnson - T - Eagles

OC Pat Shurmur says RT Lane Johnson's recent struggles are typical for a rookie.

After an excellent performance against the Redskins in Week 1, Johnson has plummeted. The No. 4 overall pick is now ProFootballFocus' No. 66 tackle out of 72 qualifiers. Shurmur does have a point about rookie tackles -- No. 1 overall pick Eric Fisher is ranked 62nd and No. 2 pick Luke Joeckel is 55th. "I think Lane knows exactly what to do, but at times the game has to happen just a little bit quicker for him," coach Chip Kelly said.

E.J. Manuel - QB - Bills

E.J. Manuel is scheduled to undergo an MRI on his right knee Friday.

As expected. Manuel was forced from Thursday night's game against the Browns in the third quarter after taking a helmet to the knee from S Tashaun Gipson. The Bills are calling it a sprained knee, but they'll find out more today.

Robert Woods - WR - Bills

Robert Woods caught five passes for 64 yards in Buffalo's Week 5 loss to the Browns.

The five catches were a new season high for the second-round pick, though he's now cleared 64 yards in three of his past four games. Woods has proven thoroughly competent as a rookie, running strong routes and displaying good hands. He's developed a nice rapport with QB E.J. Manuel, and is a weekly WR4.

E.J. Manuel - QB - Bills

E.J. Manuel will miss "a few weeks" with a sprained right LCL.

"E.J. Manuel has a (sprained) LCL which is non-surgical, but it will be a few weeks," announced coach Marrone. Manuel also suffered a knee injury during the preseason, had the knee scoped, and was back by Week 1. His quick recovery suggests perhaps Manuel will make another one, although there are obviously no guarantees. The Bills' bye isn't until Week 12, so the team won't be able to work around that. Jeff Tuel is the only other quarterback on Buffalo's current roster. They have nine days before their next game and will sign a veteran. Forward-thinkers should be targeting the Bengals' defense as a fantastic Week 6 fantasy play.

Johnathan Franklin - RB - Packers

Johnathan Franklin didn't see another backfield snap after a second-quarter fumble in Sunday's win over the Lions.

A sure way to get benched as a rookie is to cough up the football. This was Franklin's second fumble on his last four carries -- his previous one against the Bengals in Week 3 was returned for the game-winning score. Eddie Lacy ended up with 24 touches against the Lions while Franklin rushed three times for one yard. There's no standalone appeal here and there won't be much handcuff value either once James Starks (knee) returns. Franklin has been making too many mistakes since August.

Another rookie we missed out on due to the Eric Reid trade, if we're in the business of taking notes...

Keenan Allen - WR - Chargers

Keenan Allen caught six passes for 115 yards and one touchdown in Sunday night's Week 5 loss to Oakland.

Allen continues to play the outside in two-wide sets and is a legitimate red-zone threat, scoring his touchdown from eight yards out. He was targeted nine times by Phillip Rivers and has now put together two straight weeks of at least five receptions and 80 yards receiving. Allen is still no higher than the No. 4 option in the passing game and got all of his yardage in the second half with the Chargers playing from behind. He's worth a look as a WR4 in deeper fantasy leagues.

DeAndre Hopkins - WR - Texans

DeAndre Hopkins caught just two passes for 23 yards in Sunday's Week 5 loss to the 49ers.

Hopkins was targeted just four times. Like the rest of his receiver teammates, Hopkins was a victim of Matt Schaub's pitiful performance. Look for the Texans to get back to running the ball a lot more, especially if T.J. Yates takes over at quarterback. Hopkins is more WR4 than WR3 at the moment.

Tavon Austin - WR - Rams

Tavon Austin played on just 23 snaps in Sunday's win over the Jags.

In terms of snaps, Austin played behind Chris Givens, Austin Pettis and Brian Quick. He still saw six targets as the Rams try to force-feed him the rock, but it's not working. Austin needs a ton of space to operate and he's just not getting it. Through his first five NFL games, the No. 8 overall pick has 23 catches for 156 yards and two touchdowns.
