Best safety in the draft & it's the biggest need on the team. It makes perfect sense IMO.

I'll have nightmares about Hopkins if the 49ers meet them in the Super Bowl because I fully expect him to hit the ground running from the get go and just keep picking up steam. Argh!

Understandably many here aren't thrilled with the Reid pick because we figure that Reid or someone comparable would be available later; however, I'll trust Baalke and believe that Reid will gives us what we need. He seems to have all the tools to be an excellent NFL safety.

I hope we get a dynamic receiver with our next pick. Lots of good WR prospects still left on the board.

I liked it. It took me a while to warm up to it. At first i was pissed. Then I started hearing more and more that Reid was coveted by other teams. I know his tape from last year was not as impressive, but that is due to the fact he lost all his secondary to the NFL or to being kicked off the team. He was trying to make up for the others short comings and not playing just his role. With the 49ers he will be a ball hawk FS and be a Merton Hanks without the dance.

And it's not just being a homer. I've been saying that all year, and you can go back to the squirrel yealling "NOOOOOOOO!!!!" when you predicted the Niners would trade up for Vaccaro if you don't believe me.

I like the Reid pick over taking Shariff. DB was our biggest need and expect him to start week 1. Can't say the same for Floyd with the way our depth chart looks right now. Minney got the biggest steal of the draft so far, though. Floyd will be a beast.
