As it stands, the Heat do not have a single pick in this draft, but anything can happen - And they have talked about the possibility of getting back into it , or at least trying to - So, I thought I would start this thread so we can discuss the draft overall - Whether the Heat are in it or not.

Love how a majority of the talk in the draft is centered around getting Lebron back in Cleveland in 2014. Ridiculous.

Shane should stick to interviewing draftees for the rest of his careers... He has already robbed us of two free rings... as for the Cavs, they have cemented themselves as the laughing stock in the NBA if not all sports with this pick... They have the Detriot Lions to thank and not allowing them to be the overall laughing-stock

How does everyone feel about the Nets trade? Am I the only one that's not concerned whatsoever? I think the Heat did alright picking up James Ennis. Should give us another athletic wing so long as he's developed right. It will be interesting to see how him and Varnado do in the summer league. I think we need to add some youthful depth with the veteran presence we have now.

The Nets dont worry me one bit. I think that trade is funny.. They got 3 OLD guys... Im thinking more and more that Riley is pushing for Oden during the off season. Which could be a huge reward with not much downside. If healthy he could be the big man Miami has been looking for. Oden and Birdman at Center, then we can move Bosh back to the 4 where he plays at his best. Miami could be really scary if they are able to sign him and he is uninjured.

Also what ever happened to the big guy we got in the draft last year? Did we send him overseas? Could he be ready for this year?

He is currently in Latvia, after spending a season in Croatia playing ball there. I am pretty sure he at least gets an invitation to summer-league/camp to get a look. He is of Croatin descent on his mothers side, and expressed interest in playing for their national team - I don’t know if that might mean he would like to play in that country professionally. We will see what happens.

Justin Hamilton | DRAFT 2012 Prospects | NBA.com Here is some stuff that was said about him on draft night last season when he came out.

DraftExpressProfile: Justin Hamilton, Stats, Comparisons, and Outlook Here are some updated states on him.

He has been compared to Spencer Hawes

It looks like he is athletic and finishes well in transition and shoots the three well. He can be a sleeper hit.
