Welp, at least Perkins is still good...

Put him in for an inning of work (since he needs it due to lack of save situations) and he strikes out the side.

Nice win and nice 2 HR game for Willinghammer last night. Hope that means his bat is working again.

Pinto has been a nice surprise while Mauer mends his ouchies.

The A's have a damn good team and it would be impressive for the Twins to take another game this series.

The Twins, who on Wednesday night were embarrassed 18-3 by the Oakland A's at Target Field, were losing 8-1 to the A's in the eighth inning Thursday afternoon when owner Jim Pohlad was spotted walking through Target Field's Legends Club among spectators. "It's embarrassing to walk through the concourse and see all these people in Twins shirts and then look at what's happening on the field," Pohlad said. "It's embarrassing." Pohlad, whose club could lose 90 games for a third straight season, was embarrassed enough to say he plans to infuse the Twins with enough free-agency capital in the offseason, if that's what it takes, to become competitive again. "I am going to help Terry (general manager Terry Ryan) however he wants me to help," Pohlad said. "We made a couple trades last year; I'm not sure that we can rely on that this year. So if we're going to do something, it's going to have to be that way (free agency)."

Time for Pohlad to actually live up to his word. We were told the Twins needed the new stadium to stay competitive, so go out and actually spend money where needed Mr. Pohlad.

The MLB Network will be showing either your game against Tampa Bay or the KC Detroit game at 7:00PM.

If they show yours I may watch part of it and root for your team. As I've said on some Timberwolves threads
my maternal grandmother grew up in Winona, so I do follow Minnesota teams off-and-on.

That a win for your team would benefit my Red Sox (who just finished a win against the Yankees, BTW)
will be a bonus for me.

GO TWINS!

At least Toii Hunter got to celebrate in Minnesota since he was recently quoted as saying, "My heart is still in Minnesota". As Twins fans, I don't think there is a better team to root for to go all the way other than the Tigers. Hunter deserves to get his ring.

I hear there will be a press conference this afternoon. I'm assuming it will have to do with Gardy.

Will he stay or will he go?

I see Mauer was named the Twins MVP. I get it but I think I would personally go with Dozier. He really opened some eyes and did some damage this year.

I agree with naming Perkins their pitcher of the year since he is the only damn reliable arm on the entire staff! :gaah:
