2013 Flyers Game Summaries

Morning boys! Is this the 2010 season all over again? Well, so much for tanking for the top draft pick. Let's just win every game to sneak in. NJ is falling apart it seems. The Isles are hanging tough. I think the Rags are in.

I have to say that I'm not minding the play of Lauridsen.

Not sure why we were playing Kurtis Foster, a huge d-man who plays like he's a timid 5'0", when we had this kid in Adirondack. Unless the idea was to bring him along slowly, which I suppose there's some merit to.

Watched a couple of his (Phantom) fights on you-tube; good thing he's 6'6", cuz he really needs some lessons. Sometimes looks like he's slap-punching the other guy... still, I love his size and reach, and seems to have a bit of a mean streak...

all these injuries could be a blessing in disguise.. this is great experience for gus and lauridsen.. schenn as well who has been playing big time the past week or so

grossman's return should be a huge boost. and hopefully kimmo's injury isn't anything serious. we need him badly. since it looks more and more like this team has a better shot of the playoffs, how far do you realistically think our D corps can take us?

to be honest, i'm pleasantly surprised with how lauridsen has looked, and gustaffson has been pretty decent as well.. they might be kids but they are holding up well. maybe theres just a better chemistry without coburn and mez?

if we make the playoffs our top 6 would be kimmo, schenn, grossman, gervais, huskins and lauridsen/gustaffson most likely. is this a D corp capable of winning a round or two?

we did make it to the ECF with a patchwork defense in 08..

just the inner fan in me trying to be overly optimistic.. but man this team has me excited again with this winning streak..

I agree with all of this not missing the human turnover coburn right now.

Nobody was more annoyed than me but i chalk it up to Rinaldo being hurt and Bryz sucking nuts. He is playing so far back in the net if the puck hits him in the chest it's already over the line. If Rinaldo was out there JVR turles and plays scared.

New milestone 3k club. I wish I won 400 vcash on this. Rosehill is a beast. Orr is a tough cookie. McClaren is also a tough customer as well.

jvr's goal last night was pretty sweet.

i watched most of the 1st and some of the 2nd last night and he looked very good.. very happy to see it..
