1 year 1.5.. love it.. good # for a backup, great number if he starts turning it around.. i'm not 100% certain, but i'm guessing 1 year keeps him RFA for next summer too

You are right. It's hard to know what Flyers are thinking but I think the fact that it's only a one year deal is why they did it. Give him a shot, if he sucks then he's out. Plus, I think Bryz is gonna after this next yr.

They should have just brought in an experienced backup to mentor Bob.The money involved,players dealt and now a possible amnesty over this complete mess is best described as-

once bryz was signed, and struggled with bob stealing starts from him, bob didn't have a shot. even with a cap hit of 550k he was going to be dealt. the flyers got a good return for him at the time.

the only argument to be made in terms of bob is, should bryzgalov have been brought in in the first place? (no, and i said that at the time too. vokoun was the goalie they should've went after)

Some poor officiating there. No goalie interference when mason got checked in his crease and no penalty for schenn fighting with a visor. Even up I guess?

Yep all of the above...final nail you simply can't lose this game to the isles.

That's true, but the visor rule with regard to fighting is something I never see the refs enforce, so I was more shocked when they called it on Voracek earlier this season than I was this time around when they failed to call it on Schenn.

on a similar note.. why didn't bryz get a delay of game penalty last night when he challenged the shooter so aggressively and slide in to the 'no-fly zone'.. did they just blow the whistle fast enough? there wasn't any argument from the sens so they must have had a legit reason

side note: that might be the first time i've seen bryz really challenge a shooter.. if he did that more often, he'd be a much better goalie. loved his fight last night to be honest..
