This may sound dumb, but is there any way UT could rehire Pearl if Martin is fired? Or is he like banished from UT or coaching college hoops?

No, just put a beating on Ky if you play them again this year.

I'm not sure if we play them again, I'll have to check the schedule. I usually just go game by game, lol. But yeah, we're running out of chances to gain quality wins...

Might be too soon. Depending on how bad the sanctions were, he may be banned from coming back to coaching at all for a while, or he might not be able to coach at the school again. It probably has a lot to do with how the school feels about him and if they are willing to hire him back after NCAA problems. Could be a publicity nightmare for the university that they just don’t want to deal with.

i asked about pearl in the sec basketball thread but no one ever goes there... i think he has a show cause sanction but not sure for how long.

On the contrary, I thought Scotty Wilbekin was clutch from the line tonight. He went thru a rough stage a few games ago, but he hit it like a boss tonight from the free throw line.

Im talking about the team as a whole... Wilbekin did his job tonight.. but we REALLY need improvment in that department for sure .. great game vols!
