No Felix this series and 3 games against the Twins with no Baker(pitched a gem against us last year). If we play well we should be off to the same great start as last year. We're gona need it because we've got Boston, Detroit, NYY, and Toronto coming up. Next month should be a cake walk though.

Not worried about Boston.... Detroit will be a great series. NYY is still trying to find their stride... and Toronto should be a great series.

I predicted 16-7 for this month...so we'll see.

Detroit's lack of defense will be their undoing over the course of the season

Ive been saying don't sleep on some kc. They've got some great young bats and if they trade for a lil pitching watch out.

I don't think I've ever seen a game end like the Royals/A's game just ended. Tie game at the bottom of the 12th, a bean ball to load the bases and another one to knock the winning run in? LOL you fail, Broxton.

Definitely. Don't know if they can seriously challenge Detroit but it should be fun to watch. You can count out MN, and both CWS and CLE don't look that impressive so far.

Bad defense can make good pitching look fairly pedestrian, their pitching is going to suffer quite a bit this year

Based on past performance the Tigers project to lose about 50 runs due to the addition of Fielder and move of Cabrera to 3B, they said that usually projects to about 8 wins they won't get

They definitely haven't been impressive. It's early and I'm sure they're going to win a lot of games with that rotation, but I don't think they're the WS candidates that the media was claiming they are.

Yeah there's two I can't stand LA Archangel is one and there's another one right off the top of my head that I can't stand. He would make some asinine claim about some aspect of the angels being better than Texas and when I showed him up with stats and numbers he would just move on to another stupid post.

Guys ... I know you all know this but we are only 1 week into the season. Best we just sit quiet and just nod politely. Lots of ball games between now and the end of September.

TEX just needs to concerntrate on the next game and stay right on the heels of whoever is in front of them (if anyone). If you win the games you ought to and compete closely for the challenging ones ... then anyone who is behind you will have to play better ball every night to catch you.

So it isn't worth looking in the rear mirror to even acknowledge who is back there ... especially a 4th place team.
