Oh! And here's hoping Edmonton bounces back and beats London tomorrow. That should be a great game!

Well that is more like it. The Sea Dogs are starting to get use to playing against teams at their own level. They still showed some signs of frustration early but eventually calmed down. That was an absolutely brutal slash to the skate by Beaulieu. I don't know what he was thinking. It didn't seem to hurt the player but it was completely uncalled for.

It's been quite amazing how much venom has been in these games that have never seen each other all year (or longer).

Exactly. Other than the 2 Q teams who haven't played each other yet, most of these guys haven't seen each other before ever.

I didn't expect it to be as competitive as it's been. All 4 teams are 1-1 with 1 game remaining. The Sea Dogs have to beat Shawinigan on their home ice to advance. I realize they have more talent, but you never know in a 1 game situation. London vs Edmonton will be tough. It's going to be fun to watch.

I think the cozy confines (approx 4600 capacity) coupled with the heat (85 degrees Celsius according to Kypreos) has everybody on edge and nerves frayed.

I hope the CHL does more arena checking for future Memorial Cups. According to the announcers Shenanigan's rink is uninsulated and the conditions on ice have just been awful. I mean the ice is always bad the first game or two because of all the crap they paint on it, but when it's still this bad 4 games in and you start getting fog on the glass you know there's something wrong. 85 degrees C doesn't help matter either. :p

The Tigers need to start building that new arena toot sweet in order to host a Memorial Cup in the near future. I see Saskatoon is hosting next year's Memorial Cup, well, since they can't win a league championship, that's the only other way to get there.

Sins of the father - Does Henrik Samuelsson seek out Max Domi for retribution?

2-1 Knights after one period, by the way.

Tie Domi was one of the worst tough guys in the history of the league.

Stuff like this goes against the code of honest, tough hockey.

Ulf was a popular target but he pulled shit like this against the likes of Scott Niedermayer, Magnus Arvedson, etc.

Cowardly shit.

I don't think you'd ever see Wendel Clark, the late Bob Probert or Rob Ray pull that kind of crap.

Knights up 3-1 after two and things are not looking good for the Oil Kings. If Edmonton loses they fall to the tie-breaker after starting off with a win. Not good for the Dub which is looking at going 4 years in a row without a Memorial Cup. If the result holds London goes straight to the final if Saint John wins tomorrow. A Shenanigans win would put the Cataractes into the final. If Edmonton pulls off the comeback then the scenario is reversed, meaning Edmonton would want Shenanigans to win to go straight to the final, and Saint John would go to the final with a win.

Max Domi made a heck of a rush to setup the Knights 3rd goal...

Not much going on so far in the third. Pretty much what London wants.

They really did. London seals the 4-1 win with an empty netter. At worst London makes it to the semi-final, they looked good in the tournament, with the exception of a few stretches in the game against Shenanigans.

I'm liking Shenanigans, by the way...They could end up winning the whole kit-and-kaboodle.

They've looked good, a lot better than I thought they would after the long layoff coming into the tournament. I still won't root for them, since they're not league champs and all, but so far I don't think you can say any team has outplayed them. I agree they very well could take this thing.

Sea Dogs and Cats not getting along in this game.

Dogs controlling game so far. 2-0 after 1
