I assume that 'far' should have been 'fat'. He is also called 'Thick Nik' and the moniker definitely applies in this case.

i love how some Stamps fans were saying the media is making something out of nothing on that. I see however the tweet was deleted or I just cant find it now. this is not nothing to women's groups or Nicole Browns family. not by a long shot

I would expect a fine from the CFL and it makes you wonder if Huff would sit Lewis out this weekend (in the same manner that the Lions sat Mitchell out for an out-of-bounds tweet).

I noticed that as well, its like they don't want to kill their current golden goose with the NHL in lockout mode.

/Methinks some nice ratings for TSN for the two weekend games influenced the decision to stay mum...

recall Mithell was only fined by the league as well.
it was the Lions who suspended him. I don't expect the same out of the Stamps.
and can't be sure that the Leo's would have done that for a playoff game either.

I tend to agree puck, if it were the regular season, I think the Stamps would suspend Lewis for a game. With it being the playoffs, it does make it a tougher decision. Stamps like to think they ran a classy outfit, though.

are they involved in any initiatives to prevent violence against women like the Lions?

I know the Lions are huge into this because it hits close to home for them (re: Josh Boden)

Not that I know about - Maybe the members of Nik Lewis Nation should start up such an initiative.

Edit: Stampeders coach John Hufnagel has told his players not to send any tweets for the remainder of the CFL playoffs.
