Now the Stamps go to Vancouver to face a rested Lions team - I don't like our chances.

Have I said that I love the CFL?!? With all its quirks, it is a great game.

Drew Tate apparently said he didn't remember anything from the 1st half.
lack of concussion protocol, or was he just looking forward. sounds like CFL is looking into it.

Update today:

Ian Busby ‏@SUNIanBusby

Huf says Tate passed memory tests all through the game, afterwards and today. He came through with "flying colours" in all #calstampeders

Good news!

I think he was joking, but who knows for sure? At any rate, Stamps trainer Pat Clayton is one of the best in the business, I doubt he would send Tate back in without making sure he was good to go.

Nik Lewis provides some bulletin board material for the Leos:

“I know they were all in prayer meetin’ this morning, hoping Sask won,” chirped the Calgary Stampeders’ songbird slotback as the jubilation of Sunday’s heart-palpitating 36-30 West semifinal win over Saskatchewan continued unabated. “They were probably sittin’ around singing ‘Kumbaya’ when Sask scored there at the end of the game, thinking it was over.

“They don’t want to see us. Just like Sask didn’t want to see us.
“We know it’s gonna be a helluva game. Hey, it’s not SUPPOSED to be easy. They’ve got a lot of great players. But hey, so do we.”

“You might as well go through the champs,” chimed in Lewis, off on one of those vastly entertaining rolls he gets on from time to time. “We don’t back down from nobody. The best thing is, we’re gonna be underdogs. Last few games, we were the favourites. We played Winnipeg, we were supposed to win. We played Hamilton, we were supposed to win. We play B.C., ‘Ah they’re not playing for nuthin’ . . .’ so we’re supposed to win. Against Edmonton last week, we’re supposed to win.

“Tonight, we were supposed to win, too.
“Next week, for a change, we’re not supposed to win. But guess what? We will.”

Pretty good ratings yesterday:

Arash Madani ‏@ArashMadani

Good for the #CFL. Playoff telecasts drew 1.2 and 1.6 million viewers for East and West semi's respectively. Staggering figures.

I heard a soundbite where Tate says he regrets answering the question "in such a cavalier fashion"

...

shouldnt that have been ... "in such a stampeder fashion"

Looking forward to a fun game this Sunday...Lions should be heavily favored, when that crowd starts making noise, it makes it tough on the visiting team.

500!
