It'd be one thing if this had been prior to their 2010 seasons, where Jeter was coming off a season that compared very well to Tulo's. But Jeter was coming off a season with a 90 OPS+ and rated as a below average defender. Tulo finished in the top 10 in the NL in WAR despite missing nearly 40 games.
