I am surprised by this choice. It was a cheap shot but as i previously said I would prefer for Backstrom to answer it via game play versus the league.

If that was Marchand on OV the Caps fans would be crying for blood. Fact is the Bruins are more disciplined and have been here before. They have seen everything the Caps have tried and are not fazed.

No, that's not what I'm saying. Backstrom went to check him in the chest. And b/c Peverly had his stick up, his check moved up to his head. Backstrom is absolutely responsible for that and I just said he deserves the suspension. But if that's the case, he's not the only one. And I don't think he had any INTENT to hit him in the head. Which I can't say for the Bruins with the number of times Backstrom is suddenly without a helmet.

There were some complaints from one game. That's it.

The Bruins are instigators and do a lot of dumb shit after the whistle. I don't think the Caps' fans are the first ones to notice this. Washington is the 6th least penalized team. Boston is the 3rd most. Caps got 1 game misconduct all year. Bruins led the league with 5.

a. he only hits from behind
