Yes, I agree that the official should be looking at him.

But his signal is awkward.

It is a sidewise T that looks like a set call.

So it is easy for an official to “ignore it” when Nurse is casually looking at the play with his hands up and not acting more urgently to get a timeout.

In all my years coaching, when you want a timeout, you seek the official out and make sure they see you.

Nurse didn’t do that.

Until the ball was lost.
I hear ya. It’s the coach’s job to fail safe a call to protect his team from blatant incompetence.

Let’s be honest though. As we sift through 2 games worth of performance from the refs this accounts for an important time in the game but only a fraction of the complete fuckery that’s taken place. The standard at both ends of the floor for what is permissible with contact has been widely inconsistent. Brunson’s grifting has become disgusting. Hes flat out doing exactly what the league put on the Trae Young James Harden video. I watched 16 months of James Harden doing that grift and it not being rewarded. Brunson hasn’t earned what Harden has earned in this game. It’s disgusting what he’s been allowed to get in this series.

Yeah Maxey has to be stronger on the ball when he’s getting fouled. Nick Nurse has to really make it clear he’s calling time out. None of that is on the professionals charged with officiating the game. You need to be committed to getting time outs called in the playoffs. If you have to run through two handfuls of jersey in the Garden, that’s a foul. But if you only get grabbed with one handful of jersey you have to play through that shit.
He grabbed jersey, then arm and then jersey again. When he grabs his arm, Maxey can't get to the pass and pops the ball up. They called it on Bradberry and cost the city a Super Bowl.

Aren't the plays at the end of a game reviewable, regardless of whether or not a team has a challenge?

Or is that only for possession?
Or is that only in the NFL?

You can’t review:
1. If a time out was taken
2. A foul that wasn’t whistled on the floor

76ers team is just a bunch of fake whining bitches at this point.

The timeout excuse isn’t even real. It’s just them making false excuses for them fucking up.

If they really wanted to call a timeout there, you know what they wouldn’t have done? INBOUND THE BASKETBALL. That’s how you know they were never trying to call the timeout. Inbounder would have put down the basketball and walked to the fucking bench just like they do on every other made basket late in a game where teams are actually trying to call a timeout.

If they pass the basketball in and THEN call the timeout, they don’t get to advance the basketball past half court which is the main reason you call the timeout in the first place. That’s how you know they were never trying to call a timeout there.

And once the ball is passed in, you need control of the ball and the officials attention to call a timeout. Something they never had.

This is a terrible look for a professional team. Trying to lie in the media about their intentions just to cover up the fact that they collectively pissed down their leg and hoping that people don’t know enough about the game of basketball to make it believable. Anyone with any basketball sense knows what a timeout after a made bucket looks like. And that aint it. The fact that it is being brought up by people still is sad.

You’re focused on a sliver of the fuckery that’s gone on in this series.

Nurse called time out at two different times. This has all been verified by video. Your narrative was pretty neat though. Would read again.

Did Maxey being held have anything to do with him not being able to secure the ball?

In reality, this just makes the series longer, which is what the NBA really wants.

Bingo. They aren't real games. Just the league's plaything.

Clean strip by Lowry.

Look at how the video completely contradicts Q's description of the play.

I’ll have what you’re having bro

It’s some seriiusly strong shit

And then he fouls him again taking out his legs diving for the ball

Sure he did. He said he’s still bent about Nick Foles breaking his foot off in Minnesota’s ass. Minnesota has a weird hatred for Philly. Meanwhile, we have zero fucks to give about that hole.

Spo will chase a ref down to get his timeout.
