We don't know the final draft position but in CBS's 1st mock draft they have the Rams taking Mathews with the Redskins pick and Dix with the Rams pick in the first round. Interesting how they got the draft order, check it out. Bridgewater went #1 to the Jaguars.

Yeah, Blue. I believe the draft order is based on the won/loss record as of today.

My man Marriota went #2 to Tampa Bay. I agree with Red Choas. The Bucs will stick with Glennon.

No way he keeps his job unless he wins 5+ games. I would project him as fired if I was doing a mock draft

I never take much stock in Rang or Brugler... neither one ever does very well at projecting. I have been watching draftsite.com.. they project all 7 rounds and have the Rams picking at #5 and #12 and taking Matthews and Manziel....

ksu - Matthews and Manziel would be worthy at #5 and #12 in the draft. However, if we really want Manziel, why would we gamble on him lasting to #12?

I'm for taking the best QB at #5 and then taking the best OT at #12 (Antonio Richardson would still be there).

they are predicting that glennon doesn't show any promise for the remainder of the year. He was a third round guy, so that means its not out of the realm of being possible.

KSUDodgers, I like the projection. I'll take Matthews and Dix in the first and one of the many QB's in the second.

:agree:We need Mathews first. Safety is fine if Dix is there and I wouldn't have a problem in the 2nd at going QB. Whether Bradford is back or not, he must be pushed and if not, go with the rookie.

NO WAY. The Bucs released Freeman because they want to see what Glennon can do and so far it's NAAHDA! No way the Bucs pass on a QB early in the draft. Especially if they can get Mariotta or Bridgewater.

Glennon is the answer? LOL That team has the WR's, RB, good O-line when healthy and a good D. What else do they need.

Rams - lets wait and see. Still have 8 games left and I have seen crazy things happen in STL with backups. haha IMO we win 1 more game and go 4-12.

Glennon is really raw. Its going to be another year before we'll know if he has anything. I would draft QB if I was TB regardless. Drafting QBs is cheap nowadays and TB has a somewhat talented roster.

The Rams should be looking at 2 top 10 picks. Im not even going to think about mocking at this point because of how much the current regime likes to trade and the lack of clarity in tiers

Matthews and Dix sounds fine to me. Drafting a QB in the first round would cause problems, as 1st round QBs rarely sit and learn these days. You don't draft a QB in the first round unless you're giving up on your current starter, and the Rams don't appear to be giving up on Sam.

That's a fact as long as Fisher is the HC.

2 caviats to that statement retro...

#1. I personally do not think Fisher WILL be the coach next season. I am almost 100% certain he will take the USC job.

#2. At this point even if Fisher stays, I do not think Bradford is brought back unless he dramatically restructures his deal. It makes ZERO business sense to pay a QB who might not even be ready for week #1 of the 2014 season 17.5 million under his current deal.

This is not to say I do not think Bradford will never come back from his injury, I just feel like he needs a change of scenery to really take a step forward. IMO, Jacksonville or even Minnesota would be a perfect spot for him. If the injury had not occured, I do not think there would be a question. IMO as deep as this draft is at QB (Stephen Morris from Miami is projected as a 3rd round QB for example) we need to go ahead and make a change and see what happens.

KSUDodgers, I was commenting on what Fisher has already stated that they are sticking with Bradford as a reason not bring in Tebow to the Shopson post. I agree with you that Fisher has already decided to take the USC job because little has been done by Pat Haden to find a replacement in LA. I think both men are keeping this quiet but I believe that Fisher is gone after the season.

I'll be surprised if that is not the case even though Fisher has stated there is no truth to the USC rumors. I also think Sammy will be done as well and the Rams will take a QB in the upcoming draft. But of course all of this is conjecture and subject to change.

Yeah of course Fisher AND Haden need to keep it quiet retro. Anybody on this board from LA that listen to 710am or 570am and has heard any discussions on this subject. As a radio guy I would love to know what guys like Kellerman,Wiley,Ireland,Mason and the like are saying out there.

My friend who lives in LA has told me what I posted. The radio people are getting nothing but the stone wall. Haden is saying nothing and nothing is being done to find a replacement. When asked about it, Haden declines comment or states he will not pursue replacement candidates until after the season. Translation: I have a verbal agreement with Jeff Fisher and the details are none of your damn business!! Lol!

Clayton I have to disagree.

QBs come into the league and they either make a difference or they struggle and continue to struggle. They show you right away what they have and Glennon has a lot of good players around him. If he doesn't make a big statement ths year, Tampa will not wait another year. Nobody can afford to do that, unless your team absolutely sucked like the Rams did with Bradford. The Rams have been very patient and have given Bradford lots of games to make big statements.

I have no idea if Fisher or Bradfordwill be back. All is want is to use our top 3 picks wisely and get talented/special players, not reach for a "maybe" that might work out year 2 or 3 because we NEED a warm body.

Exactly SJ76. We need to change the corporate philosophy with this maybe-it'll-work-2-3-years-out krap that we have been doing the last three to five years to lets-select-blue-chip-players-that-are-available-to-us-when-we-pick.

This coming draft year, that would mean Matthews and Dix or Wadkins with our two number ones, since everyone has a picking twice in the first 10 selections and then selecting the best QB after that and a very good RB if there is one available after that.

Stop these crazy gyrations and just pick the studs that are right in front of us. WE have tried the gyrations and reaches far too long. Its time to get our heads out of the ass and do something right for a change.

Rams need impact players, game changers AND they need to use them. They are wasting Austin, Bailey and it's mind boggling . They had a shot at Blackmon and totally missed the boat. God, where is Carrol Rosenbloom and George Allen when you need them.
