I hear that Silas!! The man we both need and want is Don Klosterman, the GM of the Rams from the late 60's until when the Queen Idiot inherited the team when Carroll drowned in the ocean. Klosterman stockpiled draft choices when he would trade aging but marketable vets for draft picks and we were always two-to-three deep at nearly every position due in part to an excellent scouting department and Klsoterman's uncanny ability to evaluate talented impact players that he would routinely take as the BPA. He seldom traded up or down to get a player but took the BPA who often filled a need. And by teh mid 70's we were drafting late because we were always in the divisional and conference play-offs.
That is one of the reasons we were division champions from 1969-1979. And then that Queen idiot took over and the first person she fired was Don Klosterman. Remember the John Hadl trade? Absolute brillance. Wendell Tyler, Jack Youngblood, Jim Youngblood, Isaiah Robertson, Bob Brudzinski, Jack Reynolds, Dennis Harrah, Rich Saul, Henry Ellard, and all of the many players Klosterman drafted were just unbelievable players that were championship quality. I wish we had Klosterman now instead of this frenzied, knee-jerk, anxiety-ridden, boob of Les Snead.
