Team Three is great up the middle. Has a very nice balance of speed and power in the lineup and a strong defense overall.

Don't understand why Larkin is hitting 9th, but Im guessing ill find out.

Team Four got dramatically better after a recent outfield switch. I might like the pitching staff better on the whole, but no pitching staff can handle a lineup like that. No pitching staff can handle any of these lineups really.

7 game series, I'd say team 3 wins a very close 4 games to 3. I actually like team 4's staff slightly better, but team 3 has more offense, and a close enough pitching staff to take it.

I really like team FOUR's Pitching but team THREE has arguably the best line-up in this and is just to strong.

I VOTE TEAM THREE

I have a 6-6 tie. I give the edge to Team 3 with his hitters. Star batters will out do good pitching.

McGee is better than Kirby? No chance... I also don't agree with Sandberg being better than Robbie. I also think I like team FOUR's bullpen better so I disagree there too. Oh and team THREE has a better bench IMO.

There must have been a mistake because I agree Puckett is better then McGee. There for Team 3 wins 7-5. No matter what I still predicted team 3 winning.

Team 3 has a middle of the order that is just much stronger. I also like the combo on the bench of some speed as well as quality hitters.

Sandberg v Alomar is close.

9 to 10 Gold Gloves. Alomar had a better OBP and more steals. But no second baseman in history has more homers than Ryne.

Who did Smitty and UK vote for? Some good info but didn't see who exactly they picked. Assuming Team 3.

I went with 3. Sorry for the confusion.

I didn't pick between Sandberg and Alomar though. Natural reaction is to say Alomar, buy RS had 40 homers, 100RBI, 25steals, hit .306 and won a Glove Glove all in one season. And that wasn't his MVP year.

Jeff Kent?

Kent and Biggio both have more in their career, but I believe they picked more up at other positions. (Biggio played the equivalent of three years as a catcher. Kent one at third and nearly another at first. )

Came across the stat a couple times during this mock. Baseball Almanac was one spot. Could have been at the time of retirement though. I should look it up again.

Nope, you're right. Kent had 351 as a second baseman. Rogers Hornsby also had more.

So Sandberg only has the most in this Mock, as a second baseman.

Kent only played like 200 games away from 2nd base.

Wow. Looks like we are going to have to put you in the "Doug Timeout" corner for a little while. Making up stats!!!
