Man that's great. The kid that was LFA middleweight champ had been a LB at Bama, just won his first UFC bout. More and more blue chip athletes are starting to fight. Great athleticism and work ethic help speed things up. I did crack up when that "Pro" wrestler CM Punk first came to the UFC. He was trying to set a bout against Chael Sonnen at 185. Then he started training with real fighters and decided to try 170 instead, trains for nearly two years, then gets destroyed by a kid that was 2-0 in under a minute. It ain't the WWE lolI'm sure you get to experience it often, my buddy from High school was supposed to be on the card but his opponent pulled out due to injury and I guess they didn't even bother trying to find a replacement.
He just turned pro recently I believe, he's like 4-1, he actually didn't get into it until he was about 21, but he was a good athlete, really good football player and would have probably played at Bama if his grades weren't so bad.
