Yes, I do have one other problem. You making trades to help a friend. You are suppose to be one of the two people running and making sure everything is fair and equal. You making trades to help influence the results of the draft chits on what we are trying to do...
So when I make a trade and get the better of the deal you say I'm cheating. Then when someone else gets the better of the deal you accuse me of collusion.
Whoa, that's off base. I've seen you on here a lot of times ragging Ritz(as have I) for always offering trades slanted in his favor. This trade, he lost the best player, but got 2 really good ones. I would for sure say Yount>Trammell, but McGee>Bo works in his favor for sure
It's not off base and I mean no offense at all to you UK but McGee>Bo isn't the point even though I disagree with it.
He wanted Bo as his 1st pick now he trades him for a centerfielder when he already had one.

I thought was a great pick until you and others slammed me for taking him. McGee was listed at OF so I thought it would be a upgrade over Bo.

I think thats a pretty fair analogy and exactly what I was thinking, with the exception of Bo being a scrub, which, at his peak as an all star game MVP, is pretty absurd. I remember that weekend. The other players were in awe watching Bo launch 500' homers and make plays even the top players couldn't make. He's my take on the trade (I'm gonna use WAR just because no one wants to see me list a lot of stats.)
Yount is the best player involved, that's obvious, but when looking at peak performance, it isn't such a one sided trade as it seems. Yount did win 2 MVP's and had a career hig WAR of 10.5 in 1982. Trammell never got close to that, with a high of 8.2 in 1987.
Now, the deal does even out in the other half of the deal. McGee also won an MVP award and had a WAR of 8.1. Bo Jackson is the most overrated player of this draft and most likely should be a scrub on every team, with his career high war of 3.5.
If looking just at peaks, UK gets 14.0 WAR from Ritz, and Ritz gets 16.3 from UK. Yount does have the biggest name recognition, which could help with the voting, but it does seem fair.
In the end Ritz traded his best player and the biggest blunder in the history of mock drafts for two extremely good starters.
No he's not...
McGee .333 OBP 352 steals
Nixon .343 OBP 620 steals
The fact he trades Bo who he wanted as his 1st round pick until I convinced him he could get him a few rounds later makes this trade lame! Add in trading a SS who everyone would agree is better in Yount makes the trade smell funny to me...
Those are career numbers. At their peak, McGee was league MVP. Nixon never sniffed that
