I'm going stoke. Shane has two 4-3 DEs playing 5 technique. They're too small to handle two gapping and would get swallowed up by stoke's fabulous o line

This is a tough one. I had Shane's team highly ranked, but I saw the same thing Nos did, and aside from the low scores I gave for his DE's, Shane might have had the best team. What really kills him is playing a team with a great OLine. I would have liked Shane's team to possibly win the whole thing with one more DT and one less LB, but Allen is undersized as a 5T(think JJ Watt) and Rice would get destroyed. Shane would still score alot, but I have to give it to Stoke

Stoke

I had these two teams 4 points apart in my rankings, really like both clubs but I give a slight edge to Shane if we are looking at the entire team.

Shane wins.

Give the edge to Stoke... He graded out terrible but that's because is oline only gets 10 points each... His secondary is petty weak IMO but Shane doesn't have the weapons to make him pay... I think the run game wins with some play action to Vernon and Fitz win it...

Shane - 14
Stoke - 21

Obviously I'm going with me, but mostly because most games are won at the line of scrimmage and the lines aren't even close. I have the weaker DBs, and that probably goes for any team I play, but a lot of the time it doesn't matter how bad a backfield is, a dline that controls the scrimmage makes them better. Add to that the Oline that would make it difficult to get to Wilson (the second highest passer rating in NFL history) and would be even better at opening holes for Martin and Bell. Fitzgerald and White are a potent WR team. I think this gets ugly quick.

blstoker for the win.

Shane, my bad.

Stoke got the lowest points in my rankings. His QBs and receivers didn't grade well, by me. And the points system hurt him there.

Yeah, my team would be able to run all day long on this defense, but it is what it is.

Yeah, Wilson fits the style of offense I want to run, but in a grading system like this it doesn't matter cause he'll never be seen on the level of others that I could have put in here that wouldn't have run it as well.

Exactly my point!

That is my oline rank for the 2 teams...

I gave Wilson a 16. There were three QBs that got 17, one 18, two 19's, and a 20. The receivers being worth 15 a piece hurt you more.

Maybe, but I see Fitzgerald and White as being pretty solid WRs in this, at least top half. But, everyone sees it differently.

I think Fitz has the best hands of any receiver in this Mock. But he only got a five as a third receiver.

Still don't know how none of us drafted the receiver I consider the second best in this Mock, Andre Johnson.

I thought I couldn't have had a better draw than this one. That Dline is way undersized at the DE spot, by about 30 pounds each - and though Sam Adams is big, he never played in a 3-4 in his entire career, so how well he'd handle to double and triples (and in Seattle he couldn't) that come with being a NT isn't a sure thing either. I just can't see the DLine keeping the OLine off the linebackers, and with these OLinemen, Martin and Bell would constantly be in the defensive backfield.

And though I have all the respect in the world for Tom Brady, you get pressure in his face and he's not the same guy, and my DLine is built to do just that. You can't block Kennedy or Williams with just one guy most of the time, which means you can't double Watt or Gbaja-Biamila - it's not like Jimmy Graham can stay in and be an extra blocker. Even if my DBs aren't the best, they won't have to cover long, since Brady won't be able to hold it long, giving the defense the advantage.

That's why I re-posted my team to make him a starter, Beckham was my 3rd. I got Fitz later on as a trade, I had no intentions of him being my 3rd. Besides 3rd receivers were 10 I thought.
