First I'll say this is hard as hell... I've only done 1 so far and it's not sitting well... At first I was going, best in draft, then best stats... It's kind of hard to really gauge fairly when there isn't a true measuring stick...

Second, I knew who you gave the 2 to when I saw it lol... But since he wasn't going to see the field I figure that's the best place to put a bum if you gotta have 1... I mean having maybe a top 3 back up QB and a average at best G who's strength is pass pro when I'm going for a running team made it easy to do...

Third this is going to take forever!!!

Third things first, yeah, it takes forever.

Out of 175 guys or whatever I've graded so far, Ive looked up atleast 125. A few were getting max grades no matter what, a few were guys Id targeted and felt comfortable grading without a second look.

Secondly, I don't know why you traded for Warford, or why UK drafted him in the first place. He was the worst pick in this draft, IMO. (Good on ya for dealing him UK. Only team I haven't graded yet. And I have a sneaking suspicion it might could be the best score.) but.... good move cutting him. (I don't want to ever be called a homer in football. Im WAAAY more critical of Lions than anyone else. CJ included.). Haven't given out a 5 for a backup QB yet. Thought about giving one to Ritz, Brad Johnson was a brilliant pick. Id have taken him if I didn't beat him to Carter. But 4 is as high as Ive went. You didn't lose much at all with a crappy QB. Atleast he knows what it's like to be a backup. (That was a factor with a couple scores. It's flawed logic, I know.)

And first things last.., oh hell yeah, this is hard. Hahahaha But it's a learning expierience. (Without a grading system for tie breakers. i never woild have Known that Nos' DE led all DT's in sacks in 2013. Tbh, I didnt know who he was. But I like him now.)8 points seperates bottom to top for me right now. And Im investing some time into this.

Great job by everyone! We're getting real damn good at this.

Something else I feel the need to get off my chest....

Backup running backs......

There were some supersweet backups. Ridiculickulous ones. But..... If a dude did basically the same things, had the same skillset, as the starter. No 5 for you. (No STARS!!!). Example: me and nos. Rickey Watters and Priest Homles. Both awesome, but what do they bring that their starter doesn't? Nada, that's what.

The Bus got a 5. (I might not be a Lions homer, but he's from Michigan too. And short yardage, he's a guarantee. And he likes to bowl. No points were deducted on account of ND.)

Larry Centers would have been a 5 also. But Im not changing any scores if somebody picks him up.

Last thing first... Just use Smittys grades as the the tie breaker!!!

Second thing... I didn't want him at all!!! We started out with a trade where I got Suh and Sapp and it ended up where I got Fitz, then all of a sudden I got Sapp and Patrick Peterson and Warford as a throw in, which didn't matter since I knew I had 1 throw away... But I didn't pay that close attention because I was driving to different appointments at the time... Once we agreed Stokes pointed out I had 5 lineman already so I had to trade Jahri Evans away or not get Sapp so I did it knowing I'd drop Larry eventually... Only 2 things I'm not happy about... Losing Evans and not getting compensated for Witten, but everybody had a TE and I needed that year...

Lastly first... Yeah the elite guys I know are clear, the guys I targeted I check on, but there are some I'm looking into... I'm just now comfortable with the 1 I already finished... This is much harder than anticipated...

Yeah that's a great point damn it... It's what I thought about when drafting, then decided I have a work horse in Emmit I needed a fullback instead of a backup... But the backup being just as good but doing the same thing is pointless...

That trade was freakin crazy. I loved it. It was a time suck. But it was crazy.

Sapp and Suh.... Wheffff.

Im glad Im done with these rankings. It was more intense than drafting in the first place.

I'm done with mine. I think this is fine as a tiebreaker, but I would have preferred 10 point max system. Reason being....Lawrence Taylor, Reggie White, Deion Sanders and Everson Walls.... Let's say team A has LT and Reggie up front and team B has Deion and Walls at CB. In this system. To me, Team A would get 20 points for the two greatest players ever at their positions. Team B would get 15 for Deion, 10, maybe 11 for Walls, for 25.....Walls worth as much as LT? Whacked.
What if it were Deion and Rod Woodson.... that would be 30 points, compared to 20 for LT and Reggie.....when for my money, I'd take Reggie and LT

Also, I don't think anyone should get bent if they had a higher point total but lose their game to a lower number. In rankings,it's QB vs QB . In a head to head matchup, it's WR's vs Corners. OT's vs pass rushers...... If a team has unbelievable skill(nearly all do) but can't block the other teams DL, their skill is nullified. If a Defense can match up in the passing game, but can't stop the inside run, they've got problems. It's all about the matchup you get, IMO

I get what you're saying and I agree but, I don't need my backup to do something my starter can't, i'm not changing who I am just so I get a different style backup. I'm sure Priest Holmes was used to run out the clock just as much as Jerome Bettis was.

I've got an idea that may spice up hoops and put Jordan back in play

Normally we draft 12 guys, but no one cares about the end of the bench
I say this draft, you get 10 players, all 10 have to play 24 minutes each. You grade them in a one game scenario

This would limit Jordan's minutes to 24 and make pics 8, 9 and 10 as important as pick one
I also think we should make it all time, any year, BUT, you can't have 2 guys from the same organization.... so If you draft Magic, no Kareem(you could take him as a Buck, but then you couldn't draft another Bucks player. Once a guy is picked, he's ineligible to be picked by someone else)

Also, each round of the playoffs, you can cut/add one player from the team you defeated, as long as you have no other players from the team he played for

Sounds fun. Also the player has to play for that team for a minimum of 3 years.
