The more I look at this game with the environment, the more I think it could get out of hand for Penn State. michigan has a solid defense, but they haven't faced an offense remotely close to Penn State's. McSorely, Barkley, Gesicki, and Hamilton are a very imposing group. I could see it being close in the first quarter, maybe even at the half, however I think once PSU gets in a rhythm, the floodgates might open. I'd like to amend my score.

PSU 37
michigan 9

So you've rooted for Ohio State in the past? I don't care what the circumstances are but you'll NEVER see an Ohio State fan rooting for meeeechegan.

Rare but it does happen ... I enjoy hating ohio state, it saddens me that most of the ohio state posters on here are good rational people.

#1 total defense
#6 passing defense
#3 rushing defense
#7 scoring defense
#5 in total sacks

One of the few things UM can do is play defense. The other is kick field goals.

The opponents offenses sucked ass. Even with their ratings "go up 24 pts" if you take out their Michigan game.

Going up from 110th to 86th is still sucking ass.

So you haven't had a QB since before 2/3rds of your players were alive.

Brady play for Michigan from 1996-1999 ... Michigan is a young team, but we are not that young. We have had quite a few QBs get drafted in the NFL. The fact that we are lacking one this year doesn't change that.

How would you know if you're not a fan of a team that has one?

See how that works, dummy?

Genius — do you hear me saying UM will do this or will do that? No. Our offense is anemic. Which is why I said our only hope is to be able to run the ball.

Is that what I was posting about? Is that what Red_Alert was posting about? It wasn't and if you're too inept to respond to the info posted, why are you responding?

Chad Henne was the last quarterback you guys developed.

What isn’t ‘sucking ass’. Being in the top 10 nationally in almost every defensive category.

When you are halfway thru the year and no team has had 300 yards of offense on you — it is a very good defense. Hell, Indiana threw for almost 400 yards on OSU. I don’t think they had 275 yards on UM.

We keep losing you.

This isn't about tOSU.
The (#30) OSU pass defense won't be on the field in Happy Valley on Saturday Night. The (#9) Penn St pass defense will be on the field.
As will Penn St's #1 scoring defense, and #9 total defense.

Instead of joining mid-conversation. Go back and read what’s been said. Then get back to me.

I just hope they bring their 24th ranked rush defense, because that is the only way UM is going to move the ball on offense against anyone these days.

Looked a bit harder and changed my vote from Penn St <10 to Penn St by 10-19.

The Pitt game is like any rivalry where you can throw out the record books. Penn St still won by 19.

I then looked at their close call @ Iowa. It wasn't near as close as the scoreboard indicated. Iowa played their typical game where they'll slow roll you to sleep and hope you beat yourself with penalties and turnovers. It works to an extent and almost worked that night.
Total Yds: Penn St (579) Iowa (273)
Rushing: Penn St (295) Iowa (82)
Passing: Penn St (284) Iowa (191)
Penalties: Penn St (8 for 90yds) Iowa (3 for 25yds)
Turnovers: Penn St (2) Iowa (1)

Penn St has beaten all the scrubs like a top 5 team should.

Michigan's defense looks good on paper, but other than (2-4) Air Force (rushing), Michigan hasn't played an offense with a statistical pulse. Michigan only beat AF by 16 in Ann Arbor. AF had 168 yds rushing.

Being how the game is in Happy Valley, at night, I don't think Harbaugh is smart enough to slow roll them to give Michigan a chance late, a la the coy Ferentz.

Penn St moves to (7-0) handily. IMO

Here is where it started @TrustMeIamRight , and you then mentioned an article, pro Michigan obviously, that you didn't link, stating Mich has held every team to their lowest or below avg offensive output. From there you devolved it into "what would a NU fan know about D" and then kept hamming that point.

FWIW I don't think Penn State or Ohio State will have trouble shutting michigan's offense down.

Penn State all the way. Won't be in doubt late. Took this game in the undefeated eliminator because of how easy this is to pick.

Fuck Michigan, go Nittnay Lions!
