I must fess up to something. I have been going off memory of my rankings, because my ipad wouldn't open my player file. Well, I just got home and this is how the rankings really panned out.

Ted Williams 285.02
Joe DiMaggio 255.67
Ralph Kiner 254.00
Stan Musial 249.89
Johnny Mize 246.93
Mike Schmidt 238.64
Duke Snider 236.01
Ty Cobb 230.48

These are the top 8, all have been drafted and these are the only to be over 230.

Nobody here is more a fan of Kiner than I am but in no world is he better than Musial...

Check my math ((BA+OBP+SLG+OPS) * 100 + (HR/YR played))

This is just a way to help me figure out weak positions - not an exact measurement of players overall skill. Just a quick look to help me see where some unknown players may stack up against known players. This also does not account for different eras - hence why 7 of the 8 fielding positions have a top score from a player from 1948 (Schmidt at 3B is the lone exception).

Isn't using OBP+SLG and then adding OPS a little redundant? Just axing...

Yeah? I get that this is far from perfect, but remember not only was this the 3rd set of players I had to do (and I added this to the last list to make it quicker to compare players than flipping back and forth from page to page and just guessing where I wanted them - and then referring back later to compare to whatever player I was then thinking about), but I also didn't know when this was starting and so had no idea how accurate I could make this. Hell, I wasn't even done when the draft started, and I never came up with something at all for pitchers and since I have been gone most of the draft I currently have only a very short list of pitchers at all.

Our of those 8 I would put Kiner at somewhere from 6-8

I probably go

6. Kiner
7. Snider
8. Mize

Just my opinion, I couldn't argue any order...

Kiner went were he should've.

The third round.

I got the guy, but I'm not going to overhype him.

There's no way he's a better player than Cobb. It's just not even an option.
