Johnny Mize was the 4th best statistical player in this draft?

Well, he did hit .312/.397/.562/.959 with 22+ HR/yr.

Williams
DiMaggio
Musial

Those were the only three who put in better than that. Granted it was quick, and anyone who didn’t play at least 648 games at any position was not included, so Shoeless Joe wasn’t listed.

Stats? Who the hell looks at stats to make a pick?

It seems Shane is having a tough time deciding between Ty Cobb and Honus Wagner...

I may be willing to trade down again in the 4th with one of my picks. Both, if you're feeling really frisky.

If you go off per 162 game averaged, Kiner has him beat too

I already admitted that this wasn’t an in-depth analysis, so it’s got plenty of flaws. Musial's score was somewhere around 245 while DiMaggio was around 265.

Kiner was high as well, but his relatively low BA hurt him a little when compared to Mize. I don’t have my numbers in front of me, but I do believe he was 5th.

Man, away for the weekend, so I emailed my list to myself so I could have it on the iPad. Now, the iPad won’t open the file. I'm flying blind now.

Yeah, Mize hit for a higher average, Kiner had more power
