I hope the days off enable Huddy to bring his pre AS self to the park tomorrow.

Yeah, let's hope Huddy can turn back the clock. Maybe the rest will help. He is close to 40 years old after all.

As much as I would love to see a Giants-Dodgers postseason series in my lifetime, I'd rather just have the Cards take care of them in the first round. I'm sure that another installment in the Giiants-Cards rivalry will be plenty entertaining.

BTW, does the Giants-Dodgers series in 1962 count as postseason?

Stricly Business as Giants take Game 1 ...3-2 in Washington

Well the Giants had a head of steam going into Washington D.C. after taking out Pittsburgh in the Wild Card game. Washington's Nationals Park has been a sort of Jail to the Giants the last few years but today Alabama 22 Jake Peavy led the boys on a Jailbreak . Jake hooked up his big ass rig to the bars out back and pulled the whole Jail wall down with all of Washington's jaws hitting the ground. He was smoke N out there and that red ass was dealing. He was collecting pot after pot as the Giants had the right cards putting up 3 early runs. Peavy went 5 2/3 innings giving up only 2 hits and three walks, striking out three. It was his first win in postseason and it came in a big time moment for the San Francisco Giants.

On offense it was the cool and collected Joe Panik who got the early revenge in that jail of a park. He got that all important first run of the ballgame singling in Ishikawa and it was 1-0 . Belt got his revenge with a single to score Pence . Giants put some serious heat on the Nats in the 7th when Posey hit a infield single to score Panik who tripled to open the inning.

The Nats came back on two long HR's off the Rook Strickland and the one to Harper went upper tank and to quote Crash Davis from Bull Durham "Man,that ball got out of here in a hurry". " Anything hit that far should have a damn stewardess on it." To the Rook's credit he pitched out of a huge bases loaded jam that might of been the most important moment of the game. Hey Meat ,welcome to the playoffs and his feet are officially wet. He still is raw and should not grow any fungus on his sandals just yet. I like the kid a lot. He has ballz.

So it's 3-2 in the 8th and here comes Romo who pitched well but the Nats battled him to hit a couple of tough luck hits to start the inning. Romo stood tall and got his hitters in a display of his tenacity just like Cincinnati in 2012 in that epic battle in relief he had. Big freaking ballz.

Casilla came in for the 9th with the Nats fans chanting trying to shake him. There would be no shaking the Giants today as he mowed them down and silenced the crowd. This is a experienced team with some ballzy rooks and it was Stricly Business today as the Giants take Game 1 of this NL Division Series. There is a saying that goes ...Revenge is a dish best served cold and the boys served it up on a Orange & Black platter.

Awesome win by the Giants who showed Giants Pride.

Go Giants !!

Dogs give up 8 runs in the 7th to lead 10-6

When was the last time Kershaw gave up 8 runs in a month, much less a single game?!?
Staff aces everywhere (except us) are getting bombed. We need fear no one.

Who was it on the old Mouse board that used this line all the time? lldoyle? Ram9198? balzac? Loved it then. Glad to see its resurrection.

Isn't it this a Kruk and Kuip phrase? Or maybe I'm confusing it with Kruk's "laugher" phrase.

Pretty sure it was from the Mouse board before the exodus.

No laugher in LA, now 10-8

My hope is that the Dogs and Cards go five games, and they beat the living crud out of each other, and are just spent for the next round. Game one is going that way.

Yeah that's where I remember it from, but I never associated it with just one poster. I thought it got fairly assimilated.

Home team is now 3-4 so far (including wild card games) with Baltimore getting 2 of those.

It is a special one, only to be brought out in special events. A one-run road victory in the playoffs qualifies as a special event.
