LOL. Petit came in with one out in the second inning. He might as well have started.

I'm stepping back because I know how this game can turn on a dime. A bad move here and there is bound to happen. We can throw up 7 runs in an inning just like they can or over a few innings. It's not over until the last out is made.

I agree. Mojo can easily swing tomorrow.....and I shouldn't put it all on Huddy.

Hopefully the bats come alive tomorrow.

It wouldn't be us, if it wasn't torture all the way to Game 7.....

Only 9 outs left now. Let Strickland go this inning and let Timmy pitch the last two.

Damn, I hate thinking about how we might lose the World Series because we got too loyal to veteran starting pitchers who just can't get it done. I know he gave up 2 runs tonight, but Petit probably should've started one of the games in this series.

That is not the problem. The problem tonight was bringing an inning starter into a bases-loaded situation.

As for starting Petit, he has been OK starting, but NAILZ as a long man. Keeping him in the pen was the right call (IMHO).

You knew he was coming in in that situation before the game?

Why didn't you say something?

First pitch swinging.

I think the royals left a bunch of calendars in the visiting g clubhouse open to June.

This guy is walking every Giant who sees 5 pitches.

So OBVIOUSLY the Giants strategy is to swing at the first pitch.

And the regular season Giants are back.

My fault fellas. I commented to my bro pre-game that the Giants have been putting together GREAT ABs all series. I Colin'd it.

This. Makes no sense at all.

Our pitchers give up 9 runs and we're bitching about plate discipline and pitch selection. :D

I really really really HATE the first pitch approach.

Giants now 0-4 with RISP and Royals are 7-16.

Game 7 should be epic torture!

I wanted him to start. I loved that idea when it was discussed on KNBR the other day. If he had started, it would've solved the problem of bringing him in with runners on. I guess Bochy just had to go with his guy, who started with him in San Diego. Very understandable. However, if he would've started Petit, he could have easily justified that. Let him go as long as he could go, even if it's just 4 innings. Maybe it's just a locker room thing that if he didn't start Peavy, a lot of guys would've had a problem with that.

Well, the Giants really shit the bed tonight. Hopefully they got that out of their system.

Jesus, 6 HR given up in one postseason. I hope Strickland can't mentally recover from that.

The team has surprised us all year. Don't be surprised if they do it again in game 7 and keep that elimination game streak alive.

Wow, this one hurts on many fronts. Besides being a loss, the Royals bats get hot, their bullpen gets to rest, and one of our bullpen aces, Petit, gets roughed up a bit. There are probably other things about this that hurts, but I want to stop thinking about it now.

Well, Timmy earned it (or more like he's got it by default since so many other guys have performed so poorly).
