Like I said, youre running out of teams
Yankees / Cubs would be quite the conundrum for me
I would probably root for a place crash

Our friendship would probably lean you in the Fraudkee direction

That was me in 1986.
yeah, i can imagine
you kind of got that, depending on who you hate more
I actually had to root for the Mets, I hated the Sox that much. And that Mets team was a bunch of scumbags. Of course the only one that is dead is Gary Carter who was the one guy that didn't party and do drugs. Ain't no justice in this world
Well Darryl Strawberry and Dwight Gooden have experienced plenty of hell on earth from what I've read.
Darryl is actually doing really well right now, really straightened out his life. Doc is still struggling by all accounts.
Well good for Darryl. Battling addiction is an up and down thing.
Before the Mets-Red Sox, Mets-Astros was every bit as dramatic a series so 1986 sticks out for me too.
I remember Mets fans shitting themselves that it might rain and Scott would be able to pitch again
Don't have to worry about rain in the dome.
If the Astros had closed out Game 6 leading 3-0 in the ninth, they would have had to face Scott again in Game 7.
If I remember correctly the final games were in Shea so if game 6 got pushed back they would have pitched Scott in game 6
I just remember a Billy Hatcher off the foul pole HR in that series

No. Middle games were at Shea. Game 6 was at the Astrodome.
Home field advantage just rotated between divisions back then I believe.
So the Astros were lucky to have it.
