Sounds like Morin is out 6 months after the latest surgery. So he won't be an option until December at the earliest. And he really won't have played much hockey in over a year at that point. I don't think Morin is much of a threat to crack the Flyers roster next season at this point.

It's unfortunate. He was in line to become a tower of power for us on defense and now he's just as fragile as Neuvy, which certainly makes it difficult to rely on him at all for anything moving forward.

An absolute ton of hockey going on today.

World Championship Finals, Nhl Western Conference Finals, Ahl Conference Finals (2 games) and Memorial Cup.

Sweden wins gold via a shootout, which truly sucks. How on earth does Switzerland win silver in hockey? USA wins bronze and Canada gets nothing, which is great. Vegas up 2-1 in the final frame to clinch a trip to the finals, which I think is embarrassing for the Nhl. Phantoms tied 1-1 halfway through at Toronto in game two. Host Regina Pats to play the Titan later tonight, both teams unexpectedly 1-0.

This kid may now actually be there. He seems to be dominating as we speak in the Ahl playoffs. Could easily become the top four defenseman that the big squad craves.

Interestingly, he and I share the same birthdate of January 25th.

Jesus and now Toronto wins it 3-2 after a game-saving stop by Sparks on Brennan.

Phantoms head home for three games, down 0-2. Very competitive hockey though, I'd say they deserved a better fate.

Gotta sweep the Marlies at home or we can pretty much say the season is over for LV.

Vegas isn't that surprising to me. They play a very structured defensive. Their control of the neutral zone is second to none, the play great defensive zone defense score enough when they get chances and are getting great goal tending. Its really a recipe for winning. Its also a great story.

So with Nashville and Winnipeg out two teams thought to be head and shoulders above the league. Do we now move another notch down the list in our quest for a cup.

I just think the way they play between the blue lines and stopping any speed rush is key to their success. i wish we could do that with regularity.
