Does anyone else think that it was telling that the ENTIRE front office was at the game Saturday? The picture of them in the box was fairly comical. Fletcher looked like a school kid who had to write 100X's "I will make this better. I will make this better."

There were a few shots where Clarke and Holmgren looked displeased with the discussion going on in the box....but that could be reading too much into it.

I think at this point the consensus must be in from the top on down to do something extreme if we are seeing all of them at a game like that. I don't think anyone needed approval to make the Jordan Weal move...but say you were moving some other big name, OR, you are trying to prove the need to bring in someone either on the coaching side or to play..

I just think it was very interesting...that and the number of games that the Leafs have had someone at the Flyers games recently....Time will tell.

tickets to get in the building are $14 (with all the fees) haha, i may go!
Section 210A is selling seats for $8.50 on StubHub. No fans are showing up and i believe that had a lot to do with the Hexy firing. When there is no money coming in some heads are gonna roll.

Have we set the record for playing against back up goalies in one season?

We have shown what we can do with this core the last 7 years. IMO we need a culture change to this team which means cleaning house. Who on our team has a ceiling that high where they're growth is much more than they have shown besides Prov.

Alright, moving on.

New discussion topic, you get to add one player to the Flyers, any player you want (except McDavid because that's too easy). No concern about contract.

Who do you add?

I totally agree a culture change is needed, although I don't think that means it has to involve a complete house cleaning. What is needed, in my opinion, is improving overall team leadership. I was b1tching about Giroux's leadership one night recently and someone asked me, "So who SHOULD be captain?" The reality is that there is no one else on this team who is a good leader. Couts is a good player but not a leader. Simmonds may lead a bit in the locker room but sure doesn't lead by example on the ice. MacDonald? Jesus H. Christ. So, to answer awaz's question about who to bring in, here's my list picking from the potential free agent pool:

1) D Erik Karlsson - former C of the Sens
2) RW Mark Stone - de facto C of the Sens
3) C/LW Anders Lee - current C of the Isles
4) D Anton Stralman - doesn't wear a letter but has proven ability to be a steadying veteran and mentor

I think Wayne Train is going to bring us a nice return after tonight's performance. Nice game Simmer.

It would be nice if we could get Timmo in here to coach the defense next season.
