Not as yet no. After the Canucks totally dominated the OT, him giving up that goal is a good reason for most to get on him. If he fails in Game 7, I think Vancouver seriously needs to consider getting rid of him.

How do you suppose they get rid of him? His cap hit is 5 million. However he takes home 10 million per year & has quite a few years left on his contract.

The one other positive I would take out of this game for the Canucks other than the fact they looked strong tonight, was that the Hawks finally looked like they are tiring out. The back half of the game and in the OT they were hanging on, long enough to get a fortunate bounce.

How much can a team that is basically playing two lines keep this up?

Hopefully 3 more periods. Boland & Seabrook should be fresh since they missed two games. Boland has made such a huge difference in this series it's staggering.

If the Blackhawks win & the Sharks win they will play each other in round 2. The Red Wings would face the Predators. So I'm guessing you'll be rooting for the Kings right?

yep. not only do the 1st and 2nd seeds get taken out, giving the wings home ice the rest of the way in the west, but they avoid rinne for at least one more round and they get the opportunity to knck out the defending champs and division rivals, who will be coming off of a hugely emotional and draining series.

Vancouver's strategy next year: Do whatever possible, including throwing games, to stay RIGHT NEXT to the Blackhawks in the standings .

No kidding. Aside from winning the game, (duh), they looked like they just remembered that they scraped and clawed the entire year to make the playoffs and just barely staved off elimination in the first round... that wasn't regular gassed, that was "just crawled across a desert" gassed.

Hey, hey, stop right there. The Wild have no business being mentioned anywhere near a playoff thread - the Stars blew that game

So be it. However the Canucks were the best team in the regular season. It shouldn't matter who they play. As for tonights game Vancouver dominated the 3rd period & Overtime. Crawford made some good saves. The posts were also unkind to the Canucks.

It took 35 years for the next team to comeback from 3-0. Now we have a chance to witness it in back to back years. UNREAL!

Yeah that is the killer right there. Personally, I think the Canucks should be ashamed of themselves that this is even going to Game 7. They have allowed(in my view) an inferior hockey team a chance to win a series they should have been swept out of.

Even if they manage to hold on and win on Tuesday, they have just exposed themselves to the rest of the Western Conference.
