Wonder if Ballard will get to draw back in for Game 6. Was a real shit show from the Vancouver D tonight in their own end. Don't know how forwards who would be 3rd liners on most top end teams can make you look that bad

Nice win tonight! Ward had himself a great game. I have to admit, I didn't think they'd get it done, but they proved me wrong. Hopefully they can pick up a home win Monday night. If for anything, to win 1 final time in Nashville this season.

I believe he only had 10 goals in the regular season, but 7 so far in the Playoffs. So yeah, he's been playing a little over his head I guess, lol. But he is a good, hard working player...don't get me wrong.

they really didn't have a chance on those -'s tonight.

1) Samuelsson panic at the point on the PP... SH breakaway
2) Edler throws a weird bounce into his own net. no chance.
2) Bieksa fuck-up in his own zone, a cross-ice to Ward = boom
3) Edler brutal giveaway in front of own net, Ward = boom


Their last game was like that, too.
Henrik had won a face-off, Ehrhoff flubbed it, back of the net. there's your minus.

they definitely need to get shit going at the other end, but there's a hell of of lot of just plain bad luck with them right now.

Good points Puck. There have been some really weird bounces in this series. I hate the +/- stat personally. I wrote a fecking novel at the swamp which outlined why I hate it and Dup gave me shit for it for something that I clearly outlined. When I told him I already explained that part he says....."well it was too long".....

I guess I'm no Canadian houseplant.

One more thing, Ward has to be better. If he plays like he did against ANA then he has to be scratched or the Preds lose this series. His work along the boards (something he has been good at over the years) was pathetic, and he has zero confidence in taking the puck across the blueline. How many times did he pass the puck between the center line and the offensive blueline when he had a lane to skate it into the offensive zone? I hope maybe Trotz puts Legwand/Erat/Halischuk together.

Loved the way Nash played against Anaheim. Watched the whole series. Fucking Teemu!!! Hated him and loved him at the same time.

Have to agree there. The fact they have allowed Nashville, a team with basically 2 star defensemen, a goalie and AHL calibre forwards, to force this series to six games at least when it really should have ended in a sweep tells me this team doesn't have the passion level to be a Cup winner.

What's most baffling is how casual the whole team is about it. "Oh well, we made mistakes. Off to Game 6" Not even pissed off with themselves, just accept it, smile and move on. I think Vineault's laid back attitude is the reason for this. He doesn't seem to know how to light a fire under his team at all.

It's time for them to stop the excuses and stomp the hell out of Nashville in Game 6. Letting this series go seven games vs a team like Nashville is inexcusable.
