Yea the PP and PK was also a BIG deal in the previous two, while in this series they seem almost obsolete and have during the regular season too against each other

I hope our penalty kill is better this series, Anaheim just torched us.

We've looked better but they've still gotten quality shots off but thank god for our savior :pray2:

yeah that is what keeps me encouraged is our chances are prime. we just have to bury them now

What are Canucks fans / media saying about Louongo? He has been great the last 3 games, but still found a way to screw up at the worst possible time.

for the most part, we are still in honeymoon phase over exorcising the Chicago demon.
tough to fault 2 goals against in 8 periods, though that first one (from behind the net) was a doozy :L - and as you say, at the worst possible time - with the finish lie in sight.

Rinne is absolutely playing out pf his mind, which brings into question (legitimately) if Luongo is the 2nd best goalie in the series. I don't think Rinne can be superman all series long. I sure as fuck hope not!!
Even with the last minute cheeze, game 2 could have very easily been a 1 goal-against game if any of our guys finish any of the 5 or 6 golden opportunities that they had (including a couple that should have been gimmes) If that's the case, we are talking about a 0.5 GAA or less through the first 2 games.

he's playing well.

wow... tinfoil hat time

It has been a month (Apr 2) since the Canucks had more powerplays than their opponents.
Have they stopped skating, or are the refs just hesitant to put the #1 unit out there?
Going back another month (Mar 1), canucks have had more PP's than their opponents TWICE.

and I doubt the refs are against you... lol

lol... well, not since Gillis' press conference brought it into the light anyways :D

someone did some math late in the season, and discovered that the top 3 powerplays in the league all got significantly fewer PP opportunities after the all star break.
there could be a bunch of explanations for that (opponents respect the danger and are more disciplined, for example), but it does provide fuel to the tinfoil hat crowd.... especially when the refs miss a few obvious calls.

/fwiw, I think the refs missed a ton of calls on both sides in game 2 (just more against you, of course) :)

haha yea the refs were def pretty shotty that game. The fucking blue line refs were sloppy too, lots of bad offsides calls. I think the announcer for the game on VS said the CAnucks and Preds are a combine 1 and 78 or some ridiculous number on the PP so both sides can give a penalty (especially Vancouver) and not have to worry too much. but maybe...just maybe we can score off one :boom:

imo the canucks have to put Burrows back with the Sedins at least for the first period and see where it goes and what kind of opportunities they can create. Last game they played there as a unit, they had plenty of scoring opportunities

:laser: :badmin::flame:

that line sounds vicious.

Ward is still playing sloppy, Hornqvist had some opportunities and we really need to bury breakaways, glad to see were not giving them just want to see the ones we get put a tally on the board

This is not game day. it's the day before game day where the day should be game day. but its not the day for game day. game day is tomorrow which if it was today it would be game day.

One thing about Nashville is that I can't believe Rinne can play any better than Crawford just did.

I thought he was showing signs of overwork in round 1 ... but it looks like he took those stories about him being the worst Pred in round 1 to heart
