imo the canucks have to put Burrows back with the Sedins at least for the first period and see where it goes and what kind of opportunities they can create. Last game they played there as a unit, they had plenty of scoring opportunities

Interesting 4th line but unfortunately I think the only "operation" to get sammy going again
will be offseason sports hernia surgery

2007 they were the 8th seed in the East. Lost to Buffalo in 5 games.

The rebuild began in 2008.

Back then the Sabres had Briere, Drury, Campbell & others. The next year both forwards were gone.

I find it very impressive what Nashville & Buffalo have been able to do. They lose players almost every year yet find a way to make the playoffs & stay competitive. I guess I shouldn't be surprised with what Poile has done. He did a very good job putting the Capitals together for years. They just came up short in the playoffs.

Next year it looks like Ellis & Watson will be vying for spots in the Predators lineup.

I agree. The question is how do they go about acquiring them?

I'd say we recruit them but we only recruit defensemen and goalies so option 2 I'd say trade for them. This means bye Rinne and maybe bye to Suter, but with those 2 we should be able to lock a serious offensive threat and keep the D side of the puck up, but this is all talk saved for the off season. x.x
