So where has gmalis1 been?
(sarcasm there because Toews has been playing well, but still... that's some pretty shitty production... is he getting any heat for it around Chicago? just curious...)
I wish the game was tonight. I feel like the winner of game 4 will be the series winner. Detroit for the obvious 3-1 lead and I think if the Hawks won it would propel them forward. I disagree with cju that the Hawks need a quick 2 goal lead to win. If they can get back to controlling the play they will be okay. Also bench Shaw.
The problem is, is that they have controlled the play in most periods (aside from game 2). So while that is obviously good, the problem is that Jimmy Howard is out of his mind right now.
If you bench Shaw, who do you want to bring up? Carcillo? Bollig? Hayes?
I think the Hawks controlled periods 2 and 3 in game 1
Game 2 the Wings dominated periods 2 and 3
Game 3 the Wings easily controlled 2 and 3 was back and forth
I wouldnt say either team has really controlled more than the other.
Before the playoffs began, the majority of Wings fans and media around Detroit were saying "I hope the Wings don't even make the playoffs! They'll just get killed by Chicago anyways!" Spoiled, rotten, arrogant elitist Wings fans (not all of them but a lot of them) only happy when the Wings are playing as a 1 seed. I think that attitude from the fan base fired this young squad up and really motivated them. The Wings are 10-4 since that time. If they stay this hot they can take the series. Howard is the man right now, proving a lot of people wrong.
