This game is the first time since the trade that I miss Jimmy. This is a game they would win with him but Wiggins not built like that

Miami is playing a damn good game overall I think. Cavs focusing on Herro. Spo will make changes

Miami is playing well. They did everything they had to do to win the game- but the series is not about Miami.

Miami has bench scoring with Javion, Bam showed up big and kept Mobley down, they are shooting over 40% from 3------ its just not a series about Miami. If the Cavs play well they roll this series- the talent is not the same.

If I had to list these in order of most important to least important, it would like this:

He got cooked

Do you think the current contract structure is reflective enough of the other end of the floor? I don’t think true 2 way players are rewarded adequately. I guess I really mean I think one way players are grossly overpaid.

I mean he wasn't supposed to be anything special defensively as a prospect as long as the effort is there but you can't be bad on defense and subpar on offense.

Also, is the #1 option offensively for Miami most games. This is the 1st year...something he has to get used to IMO. Can't be too hard on the kid

I think his contract looks good now and will look better in 25-26 and 26-27 if he averages 25 per game. Miami just needs another guy. He is more of a 1b or 2nd option IMO and I think Bam is the same. Both at times can be a #1 but not consistently.

Coaches got to protect him on defense more. Either play more zone e when he’s out there or change the defensive strategy for the screens that he’s involved in. Cant just keep switching and putting him in these bad matchups

Game 1 takeaways:
1. Bam really clogs up Allen and Mobley. The Cavs will have to continue to get good guard play to counteract
2. Bam has great touch, better than I thought
3. Herro has a very predictable slow euro step down the key after an initial quick drive
4. Miami’s Mitchell is a low key slasher
5. Garland, Mitchell, Jerome, and etc won the game for the Cavs.
