One postseason series, and ba bye

Oh, gotcha.

That's absolutely possible - the playoffs are rife with crapshootidity. They could also miss the postseason entirely, or get a WC and lose that game.

On the other hand, they could be like the 2015 Mets - a mediocre team that got hot at the right time and pushed a World Series Game 7.

They could also be like the 2010 Giants - arguably the worst team to make the postseason only to get hot and take home rings.

A lot of baseball left and a lot of possible outcomes.

We'll see.

One and Done........Mark my words

I mean it's possible, especially if salazar isn't 100%.,

But they're still the best team in the AL right now.

That's a reasonable proposition. The East doesn't have the doormats that the central and west do. I'm not sure the Orioles will be there come the end of the season, though.

"Best team" is often not synonymous with "champions," so I've still got hope for the Indians if they can make the playoffs.

Rangers run differential shows they're the frauds.

But once you get into the dance...who knows.

Look at those giants teams.

I was just about to say the same. Granted, it's just one run, but to be leading a division in late August with a negative run diff is pretty remarkable.

I wonder if/when a team has ever won a division with a negative run differential? I went through 2010 and it hadn't happened.

Sorry.

Did you see the other day I even gave you props on Didi? He's been great this year. Couple that bat with his play in the field, and he's a really nice piece.

Jeter's still a fag, though.

Fuck an A, they sure did. I guess there's just further proof that teams that are bad at playing baseball can win Championships if the cards fall just right.

Did you know that off the top of your head, or is there a place you can look that shit up quickly?

Both WC races are so damn tight. Great final month of the season we have coming up

most people I know get excited about the WC races yet are the first to condemn Selig as a Commissioner

He's been a most pleasant surprise.......His success against LHP most impressive.....Always thought he was a temporary piece until the total rebuild was complete, but he is definitely now part of the future

He was a good commissioner in my opinion. He presided over some great things, and the new Wild Card format is my favorite - great stuff.

I think people think of the '94-'95 strike and steroids as shitty times for MLB, see that he was at the helm, decide they hate him, and then bitch about petty things like the World Series home field advantage.

Towers always compared him to Jeter.

That seems like a bit much but it is starting to look like he was closer to right compared to most who had him being basically Mark Belanger.

Yeah i mean the labor strife was nothing new, if we're being fair to him. But he was the guy that cancelled the WS and almost killed baseball.

And he supposedly let players run wild with PEDs. Until congress got involved.

And most hate the ASG idea. But the effort and creativity wasn't bad.

But the wild card has been a nice gain.
