he could also be Russell Branyan 2.0.
You mean he's going to break into his ex wife's house and turn her thermostat way down to make it super cold?
XD

Rumors are Lucroy may be heading to Texas now.
I think the Yankees are making some brilliant moves right now. Watch out for them in two years.
I posted this on the Lucroy thread before I saw this. Thought I'd dump it here to because I know how excited you all are to read my words.
So I was watching Quick Pitch this morning and saw that during a pinch hit for the Brewers by Lucroy, Brewers fans gave him not one, but two standing ovations. I got a pretty big laugh out of that.
Lucroy, in a cash grab attempt, overplayed his hand and in the process fucked the Brewers out what will likely be the best offer they'll receive for Lucroy. He also made the Brewers front office look inept because they were unaware of his intentions.
Yet here are Brewers fans, mindlessly applauding the guy as if he did it out of loyalty to the Brewers, or because he wants to remain in Milwaukee.
Funny as hell.
Sort of reminded me of when Brewers fans would defend that shit-sack, Ryan Braun, after he'd tested positive for PEDs, got off on a technicality, besmirched the piss-collector by suggesting that he was personally after Braun (even implying that the guy was anti-Semitic), only to piss hot again shortly after.
Seems like Brewers fans just clap for stuff because it's fun to clap for stuff.

But as far as excercising that option, I won't argue that at all. He signed a super under-valued contract, with 8 teams on a no-trade list. There's money value to having a no-trade option, and it's absolutely his right to exercise it and use it as leverage.
No question about that, but there're are ways to do that without making yourself and your front office look like a collection of fucktards. It's also worth noting that his chosen method gained him jack shit.
The Indians were going to trade him in the off-season, or move him around to C/1B/DH next year, and commit to Yan Gomes as their full time catcher
I think the front office DOES kind of look like a bunch of fucktards.
"Hey Jon. We know Cleveland is on your no-trade list. We're working on a trade with them. Before we announce it to ESPN and everyone, we kinda want to get your thoughts?"
Instead, they announce it first, then they talked to his agent. That IS a fucktard move.

A walk-off squeeze bunt by Jon Lester. Jon Lester.
Meh. That implies that ineptitude is synonymous with villainy.
I know it makes them look like fucktards. That was my whole point. There are ways he could have leveraged his no trade clause without making them look like half-wits.
Certainly, the Brewers FO demonstrated a reasonable level of ineptitude on that deal, but if I were Lucroy -- or maybe even more to the point, his agent -- I'd have reached out to the FO a week or more ago and said, "hey, you guys are working on a trade with the Indians, they're on my boy's no trade list. Let's put our heads together to see if we can come up with something that works for everyone."
