This AL East race is crazy and is going down to the wire between Baltimore, Toronto, & Boston.

I just checked the final week of the season and Toronto plays both Boston & Baltimore to end the year. Should be interesting

Also lets not forget about the AL Wildcard race. The red hot Detroit Tigers are showing their HEART with a 6 game winning streak and is now only 1 GB of the 2nd WC spot.

I think the Yankees are making some brilliant moves right now. Watch out for them in two years.

No question about it. I have no issues with what they did. Losing Miller sucks but if they're somehow able to get Chapman back in the offseason that would be amazing

This morning it's looking like Lucroy + Will Smith for Gallo + prospects. I'm not a huge fan of Gallo. His absolute ceiling is Adam Dunn 2.0, and that (IMO) is best best best case scenario.

Nope. This version of the Yankees doesn't deserved my hard earned money

I'm sure there are some real good deals to be had among the scalpers though, because nobody wants to see either of these shit teams play

Dunn was a good hitter (career .364 OBP, .490 SLG%, 124 OPS+, 462 HR). A lot of Dunn's value was weighed down by his defense. I can't imagine Gallo being that bad defensively.

Everything said about Gallo's defense (at least at 3rd base) is that he's pretty much a butcher over there. Could he be passable at 1st? Possibly/probably. He could probably also be passable in the outfield, where Dunn was absolutely horrendous. I guess I see Dunn's offense as Gallo's ceiling. I don't think he reaches that. Dunn was an absolute BEAST on offense. I don't care about the BA, but Gallo could strike out 275 times, hit .175 and put up a .700 OPS in a full season. I just don't know if he's worth the price of admission here.

he could also be Russell Branyan 2.0.
