There are better fits for Chicago. They allowed nearly 3 sacks per game (21st in the league) and would need a QB with some mobility (Bridgewater?). Not a good fit for old cement shoes Tommy. Raiders were 6th at 1.8, a better fit.

I just used him as a reference because 2 of the most prolific statues in Brady and Manning were the best at reading Defenses and dumped off the ball quickly. You could be a decent scrambler but if you check down 4 different players or can't read D's, your sack count will be high. Trubs falls into that category

I know you didn't and yes it is dumb. They had a weak schedule in 08 and missed the playoffs, with the team scoring over 200 pts less. It would be like saying Brees is a product of the system because Bridgewater went undefeated in the games he played this season. Cassell went 10-5 in NE and also 10-5 and playoffs with KC

It's part of it, but so is the o-line. Chicago also only earned 3.7 yards per carry this past season, tied for 3rd worst. New England wasn't much better. It certainly isn't a better O-line situation than New England.
