Not sure I want to get too excited that the defense is winning against Josh Malone, Cody Core, and Alex Erickson

You are treating Erikson as a second rate citizen. He is probably just a notch below Boyd talent wise, but didn't get the opportunity in Marvin's offense.

This is the worst take I've read in a while.... Tyler Boyd has been an upper-level talent since he started playing high school football. He was a 2nd round draft pick that many considered to be a steal. He has always been considered to be an extremely talented receiver.

Erickson is a nice story - But there is a reason why such a productive college receiver didn't get drafted.... The reason is that he doesn't have the natural speed, size and talent of a guy like Boyd. That doesn't mean he doesn't belong in the league - But his upside is not close to Boyd's.

You are right

You are right, Boyd is a better athlete and a better rated receiver. I honestly think Erikson is a football player though. All he does is produce and get open. Not sure if no one feels the need to cover him, but he always seems to find the hole in the defense and find ways to get open. He doesn't drop passes and he is proficient with his routes.

Just because a guy doesn't have the MEASUREABLES of another, doesn't mean the INTANGIBLES don't make him a hell of a WR. I love Erickson and think he is under appreciated and under used. He needs to have special teams ace wiped off his resume and and just be known as a quality starting WR so they give him more chances.

I thought he was being sarcastic. I guess he wasn't.

How the hell can't you guys like Erickson's skill set? You do watch him when he gets on the field right? He is almost always open, almost always. He is quick, elusive, good hands. He doesn't have elite speed or height, but all in all, he is a quality WR who has been pigeon holed into a special teams guy.

Erickson is a roll playing receiver. he's not a #1, nor is he a #2, although he could probably do ok against some defenders.
