been saying this since day one. Even old school basketball fans can see there is no such thing as defense. If im not mistaken the top rated defense last year was like 99 points. lol

The league needs to be less lenient with what constitutes of legal screening action. I'd still take this brand of ball over what the game was 15 years ago but things have gotten out of hand.

I remember staying up late when I was a kid to watch the one game on CBS, always the lakers and or the suns putting up 140.

I always said Jordan would be a 45ppg scorer in today's WUSSY league and win 15 scoring titles and 8-10 MVPs ( or until they got tired of giving them to him)

It may have gotten a bit out of hand these days, it's simple math. You shoot 50% from 2 (only 2 teams do) and over 33% from 3 (most do) and you should just jack up threes. In the Kings Bucks game the Kings took only (LOL) 35+ threes. The Bucks took.....56!

So over 90 3 point shots. The game is really different, and they've gone too far IMO even though it favors the Warriors. It was too defensive in the 90s, too offensive now.

We can all thank Steph for “revolutionizing” the game. It’s a 3 point competition with players hoisting from 30 feet. If a player gets touched it’s a foul. Steph gets a lot of calls on the pure fact bc he is smaller than everyone and he deserves respect for shooting 15 3’s a game and being the best shooter of all-time? The league is protecting shooters bc that’s all the game is now, makes sense, they want the game to be fast paced 140-135 type of games. A whistle every other possession. The game now favors jump shooting teams like the Warriors. So not only do they have the most talented team with 3 of the best shooters of all-time, the league is “evolving” to their type of play more and more everyday.

Imagine if they took the 3 point line away? Lebron is already the best player but the game would favor his strengths, same thing that is happening now. I dont really care it is favoring the W’s bc almost every team shoots a ton of 3’s a game...it is more about a whistle every possession and touch fouls. It os very difficult to play perimeter defense in this league now and if a smaller player drives and he gets a pinky to the jersey it will be a foul 99 out of 100 times. Very difficult to watch at times, entertaining at times but more frustrating.

It's about the 3 pt line and pace. Contact with a jump shooter hasn't changed much; it has always been a foul. Muscling up inside or on drives may be more penalized now, but those shots are also less frequent. Even rebounds of missed jumpers are being fed right back outside for another 3. How do you combat this with more physical defense? The game has simply evolved beyond physicality to some degree. You can't allow jump shooters to get hacked. Switching defenses try to combat the spacing and pick/roll tactics, but ever-increasing ability from the perimeter is staying ahead of the curve.
