When I read the first part of the headline..... I was almost hoping to see Nelson Cruz's name just because he plays for the Mariners now.

I like the guy a lot, but hope to see Trout's name in one of these reports. The Golden Boy of MLB busted for PEDS, would be hilarious.

I like him too and I really wanted to keep him here long term. I suspect that JD wanted to move on from him after he got busted. It seemed like he wanted to stay. If you look at how he's performed since he left, JD definitely should have resigned him. Imagine how much better we would be if he was in LF for us right now?

I think he just needed a change of scenery in order to " put it all together". It seemed like for 3 or 4 years in a row the same exact thing would play out: he would always get injured, miss a lot of games, and generally be inconsistent whenever he did play. The front office would always justify his potential and cheap value as a reason to bring him back, but he had a ton of chances and it just wasn't going to work out here.
