I like both, but between the two I would choose a Sazerac cocktail. The Absinthe puts it over the top for me. I also love Rye Whiskey.
Easy to sip on one of those and imagine yourself chilling somewhere in New Orleans 100 years ago.
I also love Rye Whiskey.
I like rye as well, though I'm partial to bourbon. Typically, I go for either Bulleit or Sazerac.
Have you tried Angel's Envy Finished Rye? I had a couple of glasses last night at a local whiskey bar and Hole E Shit, is that stuff good. I know it's not a typical rye because of the finishing, and I wouldn't want to drink too much of it, but a glass or two at the right time would be perfect. I'm going out today to find a bottle.
If you haven't tried it, you have to, Champ.
I haven't had the pleasure of trying that yet.
I will seek it out!
I have never had an authentic Sazerac. I can make bastard ones at home, but I don't have absinthe.
Old Fashioned...it's okay, but I'd just as soon have a Whiskey Sour. We found this local mixer recently:

Not a full 10/10, but I'm going to have to rearrange the boner in my pants before I stand up.I see you have a mildly positive opinion regarding this product or event

I have one fancy-pants rhubarb syrup mixer from some hipster place in one of the boroughs that I picked up randomly at a distillery in Roscoe, NY.Have you tried more than one of their products? We only have had the Maple Sour. The wife likes it because of the cane sugar and no chemical additives

Doesn't shit like that, full of sugar, give you ridiculous hangovers?
